My first car

All these car progress threads made me want to get in on the act. I've been working a couple jobs for the past few years, saving up, and at the age of 18 I'm proud to say my first car is one of my dream cars. What are your thoughts?

 

Not bad at all dude, I actually had a red 2004 rx-8 right before my 350 haha. Solid car, but headaches all winter long

 

I actually wont be using it during winter. I'll most likely use public transportation. I dont want to chance anything with it, especially as my first car. Plus, people in Hamilton are horrible drivers as it is. Winter equals a demolition derby at every intersection.

 

Such a coincidence dude, I actually sold mine to someone who lives in Hamilton. My best friend has one of these still and I work on it with him all the time. If you ever need a hand or opinion based on experience just ask me anything haha

 

My uncle is an import freak, he also owned a red RX-8. He went to a Mazda dealer and paid $80,000 up-front to get it shipped in. You always hear about strict import laws, but when you have money you can import anything. He sold it and now he's looking to buy a Nissan GT-R.

Fellow mazda buddy I got the 6 love the car definitely has a mean look. Good that the kms are low make sure you maintain that engine because if not $$$$$.

Looks pretty dope man, my personal favorite of the Mazda variety is the FD RX-7 or early '90s JDM spec the FC.

 

Yes sir. I was actually looking at the 6 but I figured I didn't save all that money for just a 6. I had to go big. Gotta love my rotary though. Just went on a road-trip up to Sudbury with it and couldn't help myself from letting the car roar on the empty back roads.

I'm loving it. I was also looking at a fair share of RX-7s and Supras and such. I think they're just a little too much to afford. Yes, I had the money to buy a Supra or an RX-7 but I would never be able to afford to maintain it. So the RX-8 was a good fit for me.

 

I love those Mazdas. Definitely a whole lot nicer than my first truck, LOL.

 

Nice Be careful though, they are quite renowned for blowing up! Keep it oiled dude

 

Nice car dude Im a bit jealous. Rx8's have rotary engines so every week or so remember to redline the engine to prevent carbon from building up. I recently got my car first car last week, a 2006 honda civic coupe. Enjoy the car man.

 

Be careful if you actually go into the towns up north our roads like to eat front bumpers and suspensions. Also the OPP love the road between Sudbury and the GTA fair warning That being said yeah it's great to let'er rip on the nice highway road
