Evidence against Leanbean

All I'm saying is that he did follow the rules technically and I guess should be refunded on a technicality and the rules should be edited. Go read the other thread where others agree it is poorly worded.

Yes, it is poorly worded, but every market user knew what it meant. A technicality isn't going to get him awarded $2,000.

 

The amount is irrelevant. He would still have to refund it if it was $2.00. Keep in mind also, this is not an award. This is HIS OWN MONEY that was stolen from him. He just wants it back.

 

Because it was a closed scam report by the time I made my thread. Apparently all the investigation they were planning on doing was, "Oh, well his Paypal checks out so couldn't have been him." All of this discussion is about how it shouldn't be that cut and dry.

 

Did leanbean say how he recovered his skype?

 

It was only lost because he didn't verify who he was trading with. I agree the rule is worded poorly, and I don't agree with it even if it was worded properly, but as it stands, it was his own fault.

This isn't the point of this thread though. I think Leanbean faked his own hacking and should pay it back.

 

Just to clarify: I closed the report based on the evidence in the report as I would with any other report on any other user. That's clear to see.

I then checked his paypal to make sure, it was clean.

Don't jump to conclusions about cover ups and sweeping under the rug when it's not the case; this is a chance for anyone to submit anything that may alter the ruling or bring to light any new evidence..

assuming people don't have other paypals, hell i have 3. but only one has ever been used for trading on sythe.

Yes, I don't know of any others so I can't check any others. I am just saying what I have done.

 

I think what you need to recover a Skype varies dependant on Livechat agent; it's a really rubbish system.

 

to clear things up you should request screenshots of his bank account/amazon accounts/anything where paypal money could be transferred to and his browser history, and make the other guy post what paypal email the funds were sent to.

as your browser history saves special urls when redeeming a mycash or mp

In the legal system it does. That's how OJ got off from killing his wife. That's why corporations spend millions devising TOS. That's why Paypal's CEOs are sipping champagne on their yachts. You can't assume user's will interpret ambiguities in the rules. The only thing that matters is what's in the bold print. and that's what staff is held to.

OP id like to think you are wrong, however there are a growing number of inconsistencies. Wish I were a fly on the wall in the SL.

 

To speak to a livechat agent you would need to log into a skype account. I doubt they would give him his account back from a different skype. Can you get leanbean to answer this?

 

He went through the Skype support center and they asked him for information he didn't have/keep/remember/whatever as already established, subsequently they locked the account.
