So I really hate exercising but I'm down for a nice hike in the middle of no where. Not that I actually ever do that because I'm a lazy fuck. Maybe I'll do one this weekend. Anyone else with me?

Do you live near any sort of country side or woods? They're usually popular places to go if you have any.

Yea. There is like 9000 places I could go. If my girlfriend ever had a day off and would let me drag her out I would go more often. There's this one place that I went to on a school trip and it sounds really cool. Might bring the dog.

Keen on hiking myself. I used to do it every other weekend. Scotland is ideal for outdoorsy stuff like that. Longest I've done is 27 mile walk, set up tent, 27 back the next day.

Some really good lochs for kayaking and such as well.

The longest footpath for walking in Scotland is 96 miles long, the "West Highland Way". I really want to walk that sometime: http://www.west-highland-way.co.uk/ww_galleries.asp .

I love that there are no trees and everything is so brown. So depressing.

Edit: Our longest in the US is "The Great Western Loop". It is 6,875 miles long and only has been finished by one person.

I've done some hiking at Yellowstone too. That is really fun. The elevation really kills though (literally if you are not careful).

    Hiking

I dont really go out of my way to hike, but my favorite fishing hole is about 3 miles from anywhere a truck can go. Ive walked ungodly distances to fish. I live pretty close to a statepark I occasionally walk with my girlfriend. But its 100+ degrees outchea

    Hiking

We used to train @ a park that had about 10 miles of trails in the woods when I used to compete in XC/Track, here's a pic of it.

The entire trail system/park is just stunning, and running there was much less monotonous than roads. Sucked to twist your ankle though.

Did some fell running on one of Scotland's many islands.

13 miles, 1200m ascent = just over 3 hours in the heat :p

    Hiking

Did a 6.5 mile hike Saturday morning. Took 3ish hours. Wasn't the best place I've been but was still fun. I want to go back and summit the same mountain again but go down the other side.
