Jagex generating gp for selling?

Jagex could makes lots of money if they decided to sell gold, the can literally spawn it and make like $20k a day

 

Their accounts are too-heavily monitored anyway. Nevertheless, theres always the chance of corruption, although as I mentioned before, people who aren't in on it would get jealous and things would be leaked and their company will then go to shred. It will never happen

 

That would crash the market, making it worthless.

 

Idk about that, I mean who's to say that, hypothetically speaking, the j mod isn't a 126 cb main who ''stakes'' for his gp and just so happens to make max cash monthly? I mean hell I've managed to make damn close to max cash and sold like all of it within 2 months time and the gp economy has actually gotten better (Gold prices rose). So it's not like people who sell and buy gp actually ''know'' that a j mod has spawned max cash and that it'll affect the economy. All the gp buyer knows is that he's buying tons of gp from a staker who got lucky.

 

I'm pretty sure somebody did this once and was fired.

 

They are selling gp indirectly already without generating gp. They sell "tradable" bonds for 5$ each which is worth around 7M EoC (I know the rate is horrible), but nevertheless they are somewhat selling already.

I mean they make good money but I have thought about that too, they can make like an extra 100k+ a year by just spawning then selling gold, the problem is that there are probably logs of each trade/spawn jmods have, making it extremely difficult to sell gold.

 

That'd be an absolutely awful idea.

I'd much rather have a stable job than get a one-time sale of a few million gp in (since after the first time they trade gold to a player, they'd be fired within if not minutes, hours.)

 

lol ofcourse not. just no. they have systems in place for this. nobody would risk their job for this.

 

This lol, in Jagex's mind it would help stop RWT plus give them free income.

 

I've always thought of this and I'm sure Jagex employers have done the same. I'm certain there are precautions taken by Jagex to make sure this doesn't happen. Not only that, but if they are caught they can be sued for damages to the game and it's image.

 

I think that Jagex mods who spawn are restricted to trading with regular players, they have two accounts (A regular account and a mod account).

 

But who's to say that MMG ok'd it for a few people to bring in extra revenue for the company? I mean, they could just sell 5b to all the big namers, ban their accs as soon as they paid, and repeat. They could actually defeat all of gold selling/farming tbh lol.

 

A Jmod once gave me bones on his alt. I still have them haha.

They can just say some bs about stopping RWT. I mean look at bonds, they were supposed to help prevent goldfarming according to jagex... when in reality it was just a way to make more money for the company.

This thread is as stupid now as it was when it was created.. None of the mods would risk their steady job for some extra money. Good luck doing this, getting caught, and finding a new job.

I could only see someone moronic enough to think this is happening being dumb enough to actually try it.

 

Definitely possible if somebody were to edit a 'legitimate' players character file by adding extra gp etc.
