Pau Gasol to Chicago.... Paul Pierce to Washington

Opinions?

 

I think it is a good decision for Pau Gasol to sign with the Chicago Bulls because he would have a better chance for a championship with Derrick Rose. The Lakers don't really have anyone good except for Kobe Bryant, Nick Young, and Jeremy Lin. Paul Pierce to the Washington Wizards is great because the Wizards need scoring and Paul Pierce can do that for them.

 

The wizards might be better then some will think this season

 

They are both old. The impact they will make wont be significant. Chicago could be a contender if D rose is healthy.

 

These 2 will have major impacts.

Both were high quality players last year in the league. Yes they're old, but so is Tim Duncan...Look at him.

Both are high quality guys going to some good teams.

 

I think the bulls will be absolutely incredible now! That is awesome news.

 

If D Rose comes back, yes ^

 

I'm still hesitant on the Bulls. I remember how confident their fanbase was before they got beat handily by Nene and the Wizards last season. Derrick Rose is still a huge question mark, and I'm not sure the additions of McDermott, Mirotic, and Gasol will be enough to get them over the hump. Even if they win the East, I don't see them beating a Western conference team.

 

Kobe Bryant and Jeremy Lin... I really don't think this is going to make for a good duo. Kobe needs someone like Tony Parker

 

Gasol is a shaky pickup. His inconsistency and lack of aggressiveness is NOT what the bulls need. What they need is their MVP to take the suit off and suit up.

 

True. I don't think he plays like he used to.

 

To be honest, they have nowhere else to go. Tehy cannot win anymore rings due to their age and they are just in the NBA for now because of Money. So if Washington offered them more than Nets, Its not a bad offer. and IMO washington is not a bad team. They almost beat pacers at finals

 

Chicago will either be exactly the same as last year or be a contender it all depends on Rose and his ability to score...

Wizards getting truth means nothing they still will be the same team as last year.

 

Derrick Rose hasn't been able to become a better player for the past 2-3 years because of his injury. Look @ how Dwayne Wade's injuries stopped him from really being able to expand his game. D Rose still gonna have trouble with the 3 pointer and he's not gonna be as explosive as he used to be.
Hopefully, though, he proves me wrong and goes beast mode this year lol

 

Chicago hasn't gotten much better in my opinion. Gasol is good, but he'll be used just like Boozer was and it'll ruin his play. Offence doesn't fit him. Pierce to Washington makes sense. A veterean to lead a young team. I like it.
