New head of donations

There are a few (huge) problems I am experiencing on this forum.

1. There is nobody to talk to when there are bond issues
2. There is nobody to talk to when there are donation issues (PayPal to Sythe)
3. There is nobody to talk to when there is a problem with signing up for SVU
4. There is nobody to talk to when you want to request SVU info from a scammer
   

Matthew does a great job when he's online but unfortunately he is barely ever online. To fix problem 1 and 4 it would be a good idea to promote a new (staff) member to head of donations. Primarily to support Matthew.
By adding a new head of donations which fixes problem 1 and 4, the workload for Matthew will be less and that makes problem 2 and 3 less of a problem because Matthew will have more time for it.

This is very urgent because the need to wait weeks or months for a reply or a perk tobe accepted is ridiculous.

 

Somehow I don't see anyone else being trusted with a) donation handling or b) SVU information.

 

I agree. If you want a reply from Mathew you're in for a 1-2 week wait. Sythe needs to trust and delegate some work to his Admins.

Sythe ultimately needs to decide whether or not he trusts a (staff) member with the SVU info and the bond management part of the user center.

I think it would be good for this forum to fix this issue. Many users including me complain about the reachability of Matthew.

 

Given how much stuff Matthew has access to (I'd say around 98% access on here?) it would be pretty hard to find a replacement. Next down the line would be Govind, who's taking a break currently.

 

I am not suggesting a replacement for Matthew but just a support for him who is able to access the bond/donation management part of the user center and the SVU info.

 

I think Govind took a break until Sythe will give him access to server again, however I'd love to see him back

 

Support OP. Ive never had a call to try and get in touch with matthew but have always heard it takes FOREVER.

This has been an issue for far too long, judging by their post activity Richard himself would be a good candidate should they not let roary or firez handle it.

yeah i agree, but last time I donated Matthew replied straight away so I haven't experienced problems with this yet lol, instead of promoting one individual person, why not just have a donation handling team?

yeah that's obvious, but my main point was why not just have an actual donation team? Instead of leaving Matthew alone to do all the work, just make a team to handle all of it.

 

That's what this thread is basically saying? Someone to help out Matthew. But Sythe doesn't readily trust people with that kind of access to information.

why? if an admin wants to scam he will do it without having acces to donations

 

'cause Sythe doesn't trust people easily with access to big parts if the site - you'd have to ask him. I'd be the same if it were my site, it's a lot of trust to put in someone.

 

Didn't read any of the responses on this thread so bear with me.

Matthew is obviously (and has been) too swamped to properly handle all the responsibilities that he currently has here. We need to automate some of the processes as much as possible and delegate them to admins/globals.

Example: All SVU information is put into a database, admins can release the information through the user center.

Example: Globals+ approving UI's and UT's through the user center.

Etc. Free up some of Matthew's time so he can resolve the more difficult stuff like donation issues.
