Malaysia airlines plane shot down over Ukraine

Absolutely awful, about 300 people dead. If you Google, you'll see tons of NSFW pictures of bodies all over the place within a 15 KM radius of the crash site.

 

Jesus christ man. That airline is beyond fucked. Two incidents?! I get it this one can't be their fault, or at least it doesn't appear like it is their fault but still, must suck for their company

 

Damn I just saw the pictures and that's some fucked up shit. Malaysia airlines just can't catch a break.

 

All kinds of fucked up. Im at a loss of words, I hope those responsible pay with their lives. I just cant fathom the reasoning for shooting down a commercial airliner.

 

That's just saddening...

I feel extremely sad for the victims of the flight and hope and pray that there could be closure to this event and that the perpetuators will be caught and held responsible

 

Does anyone know exactly why the plane was shot down? I haven't heard of the cause yet, only the casualties.

 

They thought it was a Ukraine military plane, not a passenger plane.

Streklov, the leader of DNR made a facebook post (that has since been deleted) stating the following:

The plane was mistake for a Ukrainian military cargo plane and was subsequently shot down.

 

Two students I used to see around college were on that plane...

 

None of that is definitive. They are both finger pointing at this point. Hearsay and mudslinging.

You're correct, I misspoke. That was simply the train of thought that most people followed after reading that now-deleted facebook post.

I will say, however, that I personally believe what I said is indeed what happened. Especially following the video released showing a BUK missile launcher being driven into place and the conversation that followed. While none of this is 100% concrete proof that the Russian-backed separatists were responsible for this tragedy, it is pretty damning evidence.

 

I think its the russians too, I feel they may be trying to frame Ukraine for it to strain Ukraines relationship with the US. That would in turn make Ukraine FAR more vulnerable.

But this is wild speculation. Js
