why use red chins?

ive always wondered why the price is high and what they do for range. do you equip them like a bow? do they give you more xp per kill? any requirments?

 

Red chins hit up to 9 targets in a 9x9 square. That means if you can round up a bunch of monsters in a 3x3 square and hit the middle one it damages all of them and you gain the xp for all the damage given. This means that it is the fastest range experience in the game Most commonly done in the monkey madness tunnels on the skeletons using void and salve amulet (ei).

Chinchompas are like the ranged version of a burst or barrage spell, you can hit up to 9 targets at once, which gets you a lot of exp if you use it against the right enemies.

 

Just to add to what's already been said, Chinchompas are for powerlevelling, it's unlikely you'll ever see them used in PvP as they're just incredibly inefficient.

Not quite.

The best spots for using Chinchompas would be Monkey Zombies or something similar.

 

No, you need 9+ enemies at all times.

 

You can also try black chins.

 

Grey, red and black chins all have the same function, just different range bonuses.

Since chins are expensive, you really want to have the maximum ranged bonus. This includes ranged pots, void, etc. Although you can start chinning at a low level, I'd only recommend it at 80-85+.

When chinning, you want to have as many monsters around you as possible to maximise the xp gained from every chin. The current best place for it is monkey zombies in ape atoll. (part of monkey madness) Just search up a guide on YouTube.

 

If you're going to do chinning, you need more than 9 monsters. Otherwise, you're just wasting the chins on monsters that don't need to be chinned.

Chinning is usually done at Ape Atoll where the zombie monkeys are.

They're like types of shotguns pretty much, they spray many bullets out at once.
