Do people still bot on their mains?

I just recently started playing again after a year and a half break. I downloaded powerboat and have been mining on one of my irrelevant accounts. Is it worth the risk to try to bot on my main? And do premium scripts really make a difference with powerbot?

 

Nope, my main got perm banned in Aug 2013 and there is no fucking reason to lose a main with 2b just because people are lazy. If someone still bot his main, I wish him goodluck to get it unbanned. And Powerbot client is detectable, so you just login and your account can get banned with in 5 minutes.

 

i botted 99 att/str/95 defence on 07, but got a 2 day ban and never botted anymore especially after i heard they're cracking down on bots.

I created a new account and botted 1-35 str in f2p and it got insta perm banned after 2 hours, so ..

 

Some people bot on their mains on 07, but there's like 5 threads per week that show up about people complaining that their main got banned within a short period of time botting. Pretty much the only people who bot are goldfarmers.

 

I know a couple of people who bot on their mains (07). But mostly more advanced scripts. Not the average woodcutting/green drags scripts.

 

If you're botting on RS3 it's pointless, no matter which account you're using because the ban rate is so high. Some people bot on their main because they don't care.

 

My main got banned back in '12 finally after I autoclicked from 55-99 mage, 65-99 fishing 50-92 cooking, and 1-60 agility. Just started playing again and made a dummy account and botted wc to 60 and got perm banned. And now I've been botting on my new main from 75 fm and I'm 90fm right now and no trouble.

 

I sold my main, but I've had another one, which was banned for limpwurts collecting. You could try to bot, but do it only for money, and dont make this account as main, because when you will get bigger stats ir would be risky to loose acc which cost a lot.

Yes, but I'd highly recommend against it with the current state of things.
Ban rate is typically very high across all bots and versions of RS, it's quite different from the glory days.
Most people just bot to farm gold, either to sell, or transfer to their mains.

That being said, some people do bot accounts which they do intend to keep and not get banned.

Oh, no! I used to, but not anymore. There current state of botting is quite different that a couple a years ago. I have a near maxed account and I'll never risk it with botting again. I think I can make it the rest of the way on my own lol.

 

botted over 1000+ total level smart, people who get banned are idiots who leave it running like 24 hours a day...

 

I've known people who got 99 attack, strength, defense and magic, running it 24/7. Pretty recently. I'm not recommending it, but it doesn't guarantee a ban.

I agree on most of the tips, but I would not switch up my activities with different scripts. Using more scripts = more chance on getting detected. The best way for me to make sure something is safe, is by knowing somebody who has used the script a lot more than you plan to use it, and only use it if he didn't got banned.

The chance is a lot higher to get banned on a level 3 without stats, quests, no friendlist and no EoC history. Jagex have admitted they're focussing on gold farmers, and if you create a new account to farm gold on and transfer it to your main, you're gonna be in the same boat as the other goldfarmers, and you have a lot less options to make money.

It's not that they won't ban mains whenever they catch them, but they're not as actively looking for mains botting stuff that have a lot of quests and stat requirements. There's way more people that do goldfarming on level 3 accounts that cut yew/magic logs, pure essence, fishing etc, and they're easier to detect and catch. So they are Jagex's main focus. It's best to think of a training method that you think nobody is botting and write a script that is as randomized as possible, or use a script from somebody who has tested it and didn't got banned (don't simply trust the owner of the script, he just wants to sell it as many times as possible).

Also I recommend on just trying to get combat up and as soon as you're high level just make your own money, instead of trying to bot money.

 

I only botted on my main 4 hours and I got perm banned, the time does not matter when you are botting, I botted in 2012 on a lvl 3 99 rc and the bot run 24/7 2 weeks straight, I think it all depends on luck

 

Botting nowadays in RuneScape is a tough one. Some people make it through the ban waves, most, if not 99% of people get permanently banned in just a few hours.

I guess JaGeX actually finally stopped the influx of botters.

Honestly it just depends on the scripts you're using, plus hours of playing etc.
I botted on a fresh account Fletching for about 1 hour, boom... Banned.

Used a different Fletching bot, lasted 2 weeks, then banned.

Botting just isn't like it used to be. RuneScape is honestly easy nowadays without Botting anyways.

 

I've botted an account for 2 days straight (every 8 hours I would update my client and restart it due to game session).

Not sure how people are getting caught.

 

I'm botting up a pure atm. Started it today, going to bot safely and see what happens.
