Would it be possible to teach myself how to play the piano.

Hey guys, so my question is, would it be possible for someone who used to play piano at an intermediate level, to reteach themselves how to play. The last time I touched a piano was 6 years ago and I had just reached an intermediate level.

 

Probably not. 6 years is a very long time.

 

Start jammin and after a while you'll get your touch back.

 

a few years back i grabbed a Casio keyboard that was built to teach with key illumination. It actually taught me a lot and I was able to pick up on some old skill from when I took lessons when I was young.

 

It is definitly possible! Your brain rememebers how to play, you just have to reteach your fingers how it works

 

Of course. Not every instrument player started off with classes

 

I think this is definitely possible.

Although I had a shorter break, I hadn't touched the piano in two years but was still able to play many of the songs I had learned prior. The main problem was my fingers were a little clunky and lacked fluidity. Despite this, I could still it through the piece without too much problem.

I had a similar experience with other instruments as well.

You shouldn't have any problem getting back into piano, although it might take a little to get your fingers back.
