    A couple of months ago I got this crappy Huawei android phone to replace my broken galaxy s3. So about a month in, the phone continuously reboots iself. The times are random, but it mostly happens when I'm watching youtube videos. I later noticed that the available ram I have left is extremely low. I downloaded a few apps to boost the performance of my phone (releasing more ram), but it only takes a few minutes for the phone to get back in the same state it was previously.

    I already formatted the phone once, and it didn't reboot until a week or two later.. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

    The first question would be - is this phone still under some sort of warranty with the company (possibly a 1 year warranty on the phone)? If the answer is no, then read below:

    First and foremost - check to see if the company has a firmware update to KitKat. If it doesn't, then I would suggest switching to a ROM.

    You could try rooting and ROMing your phone... You would have to obviously do some research and take time before doing it but yeah. Most of the stock software on the phones tend to have bloatware and chew up extraordinary amounts of space which leads to a bogged down system. Best place for this is xda forums - please check and read through everything (and I really do mean everything) when rooting and ROMing your phone!

    Also, those (cheap android) phones tend to have 1GB or less of RAM. Android prefers 2GB for some reason.

    I have a 2GB phone. I rather not root my phone without viewing my other options. About the warranty, not sure. Didn't have insurance on the phone, so I didn't want to pay the full price.

    What version of Huawei phone is it though... Huawei designs a ton of different phones. Give us a model number or something.
