MoneyPak Question

So I redeemed a 500$ MoneyPak today. It was my first time doing it. It then prompted me to put in my information and all this stuff. It then told me it refunded me the amount and it's sending me a 500$ check.

Why is this? Why can't I automatically redeem the card to my account?

 

this happened to me once, however i never did get the check sent back to me...hope it works out.

 

You should be fine, as long as the address matches your paypal info. This has happened to me many times, and its never been an issue. It's only been a problem when I don't have the spare cash to pay with after redeeming it for someone else.

 

I have the increased funding limit on my paypal for MP, and it blocks me and refunds my checks periodically as well =|

You get more money that way, but I had MP almost fuck me out of a few checks that they 'forgot' to send.

 

Wait, so there's a chance I won't even get this 500$ MP refund back?

 

You should if you entered your information correctly. If they don't send a check within 2 weeks, just contact customer support.

I"m still confused as to why it wouldn't let me just redeem it.

 

Just happens sometimes, and if you redeem a bunch sometimes they even tell you to stop doing so (I listened, didn't want PP doing any BS with my account).

They don't really want MPs being used as a payment method I believe, just for people to fund their own accounts.

If you eventually do get a warning, there are many trusted users who redeem MPs for a 5% fee for you.

 

I have my own service. That's why I'm asking for future reference.

 

Still awaiting on a refund check. Is there any numbers to call to get this worked out somehow? I've filled out the form online already.

 

Takes approx 7-8 days, I received 100+ last year.
