    PS4 - New Buyer Needs Help - PS4

    Hey everyone,
Earlier today, I caved to my desires and I went out to buy a Playstation 4. I purchased it and just got home and got it all set up!

However, one particular aspect of the machine does concern me, the controller.

To set up the system, all I had to do was plug in the controller and power the machine on, simple enough.

This is where my 2 issues began.
    1) When I plugged the controller in, the port for INTO THE controller didn't slide in easily like you would expect any USB-type port would. It made two click noises as it slid into place. Is this normal and is this going to cause an issue with the controller down the road?

    2) The usb that is plugged INTO THE controller is loose and it seems to wiggle left and right slightly. Is this normal and is this going to cause an issue with the controller down the road?

    I appreciate the help!

also! anyone that has a good UNTAKEN PS4 online ID should shoot it my way. I can't seem to find ANY that are untaken (without numbers)

Mine wiggles a fair bit when it's plugged in, and i've noticed the same at a friends house. That part's no biggie. As for the clicks you heard, they never happened to me. Probably just slightly unaligned when you slid it in.

I've never heard the clicks. I'll agree with Dizzle in that the connection does seem to wiggle quite a bit, but it seems that that is intended.

I wouldn't worry about anything if I were you, as with any expensive technology be sure to treat it with care!

It's a brand new port, chances are the metal casing around the port may be slightly bent from when the device was manufactured, or you simply didn't have the plug aligned properly when you plugged it in. If it indeed is a slight warp in the casing, this should subside as you use it more and the metal bends into place.

If you start to notice issues w/ the connectivity, or if you notice the issue worsens, that would be in my opinion, the only cause for alarm.
