Need good animes to watch

I need some more animes to watch, so help me out.

Requirements:

It must have more than 100 episodes
The plot must be good(not looking for some weird twisted shit)
It needs a protagonist that the anime revolves around, eg: naruto, luffy, natsu, ichi
Doesn't have to be mainstream

Yeah I know, I said I was follwing it.

The plot sounds alright, but I can't see it going far. Does light have real power(s) (not figuratively)? Does he face a lot of powerful enemies? It doesn't state it in the description.

 

He just has the power to basically kill with the notebook. Things happen later on in the series such as multiple notebooks and his enemies are people such as L. This anime is like a Chess game because both Light and L are very intelligent individuals and they are trying to outwit each other. I find it very entertaining at the moment.

Edit: I should also mention this since the Plot doesn't explain it very well but Light's "quest" is to eliminate all the criminals in the world. L doesn't atone to his beliefs because it is still murder and the plot advances in L trying to stop Light and etc..

There is also an anime called Code Geass if you have not seen it, I have watched it before and it was also very good:

Both Code Geass 1 + 2 add up to roughly 50 episodes. This might be able to consume your free time . Hope I've been of some help.

 

I HIGHLY recommend Death Note. One of the best anime I have ever seen. You'll be hooked by the third episode.

Ever do Medabots or Beyblade man? Kind of tailored towards a younger audience, I was obsessed with it as a kid though lol. I mean Dragonball Z sorta was too which I see you said you've watched + are in the process or watching.

The Beyblade I watched only has like 50 episodes though I think. But there's a spin-off (that I never watched, that's another 50, and another spin-off which is 52 I think).

Medabots was good mindless television, even now (I re-watched it when I was 20).

You should be able to find almost every episode of both, if not every episode, on Youtube.

Kind of a silly, nonsensical plot (to both shows), but good mindless TV. At the very least, it's good for training in 07 to pass the time, and I was interested in seeing how they ended.

Not sure how they pertain to your interests, may be a little too kiddy for your tastes, but you never know. Good luck!

Oh yeah, Medabots is almost 100 episodes. 90+ eps

 

It's not made in Japan, but I advise you watch Avatar: The Last Airbender and Avatar: The Legend of Korra if you haven't already. They are both very well done, and draw a lot of influence from anime. In fact, Avatar: The Last Airbender is 16th on IMDB's top TV shows list.

Also, I hear good things about Full Metal Alchemist and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Although, I haven't seen them yet.

 

I second Avatar: The Last Airbender.

That kept me interested throughout.

 

I was hooked after the second episode. It's a real shame that this anime is so short.

I can't really think of more animes that span past 100 episodes other than the ones that were mentioned.

I would say that if you like general action animes, my preferences are:

You finished the series? Yeah, the ending of the second episode is amazing and what got me into the show as well. I just finished catching up to Game of Thrones, and I think I might rewatch Death Note even though I have already done so about a million times. It's just too good.

I recommend watching Avatar now.

I second the suggestions for Avatar and Death Note... the only other anime I can think of atm is Code Geass. Check out all three.

 

Guilty Crown was a good one as well.
I've heard it has mixed reviews though.
