Why do you bot? I am keen to know peoples reasons for it.

Many people I have encountered seem to be against it, and in understand how if the proportion of bots to legit players is huge, it undermines the game experience.

However, the reason I bot is because lets face it, runescape is a shit game in terms of hours required to grind skills. I love and enjoy main pking, but am unwilling to invest 1000s of hours to get the required levels. And this game dominates a big part of some peoples lives. I dont want that.

Im just curious to know why other people bot, is it for the same reason? or perhaps just to make money?

I started botting to get some levels to play some high dungeons within pre-eoc era, after that when 07 came I just botted for pvp. I've never though about goldfarming.

People bot to make rl money. You make bank if you're able to bot with multiple accounts without continuously getting banned.

The grind is the best part of the game. Grinding is a big part of the game, if you don't like it, why play it? The game challenges ones patience and allows it to develop.

Botting is inefficient due to the chance of you being banned. You can bot 24/7, not get caught and almost be done with your goals, but right before you accomplish it, you get banned.

Now if you were playing legit, that wouldn't happen.

This game is not meant to be played all day, but people do it anyways.

Back in 2012 I used to bot to get lvls on my main, I botted 99 Rc, Cooking, and Fishing and I was not banned. In 2013 when rs2007 came out, I only botted because of the money and it was very nice and I would do it again.
