[Food] McDonalds - Habanero Ranch QP + Bacon Clubhouse Burger

I had a coupon for a free burger with purchase of a burger, so why not review them?




Note: I ordered them both without tomatoes

I've had the Habanero Ranch QP a few times before and when it was new, it was a marvelous burger. I was instantly addicted and I would give it a 5/5 with a seal of approval back then. I've had it since, and the taste isn't the same, but the sauce is great (it's now a nugget sauce!) and was the only reason I got it. Now, you can easily budget and get the sauce separately. The spiciness is tolerable and is spicier than anything McDonalds has and is the spiciest fast food item I can recall. The sauce is a 5/5 with a seal of approval, the burger is a low 5/5 but it's still great.

This was my first time getting the Bacon Clubhouse burger, which was a burger I wouldn't have tried if it was free. They have a version made with chicken that I haven't tried. The bun was 1000x time better than the bun on the left (which is awful). The cheese is decent, the bacon was great, the lettuce wasn't gooey. The big players here were the Big Mac sauce and the "grilled" onions. These had a major impact on the flavor of the burger and made it surprisingly good. These onions (unlike the ones in the Double Cheeseburger) actually tasted good. High 4/5 burger, mainly because I wasn't expecting it to be that good, but I did try it another time and it was underwhelming - the amount of each ingredient really matters.

I recommend you try the habanero ranch sauce if you haven't done so; it's fantastic.

Didn't know they still offered the habanero ranch sauce. From what I remember, I liked it a lot. Although, it wasn't very spicy. I wish it were easier to find really spicy food in America. I <3 spicy.

 

Can you review Baconator?

 

McD is really delicious but the worst food you can had..

 

Yeah I never had it during the original run, but it's back and stronger than ever, though it's almost the same sauce. It's still the spiciest fast food item, but I agree that it could be spicier. I'm a spicy fanatic as well. Spicy seems to be trending.

I like all the ideas but I'm trying to find new things... or at least things I haven't had already. I haven't had a Baconator in years, but it was pretty good. The Wendy's around here have since deteriorated and they always burn their bacon and leave food raw, so I haven't been there in a long time. They had a cheese sauce burger with jalapenos once and that was my favorite.

To be honest, I'd rather have any other fast food place. Of the national chains, I'd go with Angry Whopper for my favorite.

Edit: For anyone interested, Burger King tacos were priced at 2 for $1.39 or around that, but they were worth the price. On the outside, these tacos looked like Jack-in-the-Box tacos, but on the inside they were different. You could tell that the meat was better quality and the lettuce was as well. When I bit into one, it tasted amazing. If Burger King ever brings back their Jack-in-the-Box style tacos, I'd be one happy camper. They even had hot sauce as well.
