Melee Training EoC

Hey guys so I haven't trained any melee since pre-EoC and I've had a look at quite a lot of guides and they all say waterfiends is the best for xp/hr and charms. They claimed to be getting upwards of 300k xp/hr. I tried this with a near maxed account, and a c-maul, and I was getting nowhere near this, 150k maybe..

So I was wondering what you guys think is the best for melee xp/hr? I have dual drygore longs/c-maul, full bandos etc.

Were you using prayers, potions, slayer helm on task, etc? That might be how people were getting that much exp/h.

 

turmoil and soul split i use with a slayer helm. tried out cmaul and drygores. nothing compared to just a royal cbow.

 

I did hellhounds with soulsplit and ags + momentum and you need alot of pray pots. Im not sure about the xp rate per hour, but it is very fast.

I'm attempting hellhounds at the min, seems pretty decent exp. Was lost at first as never trained combat with EoC as maxed previous to the release.

 

Put your combat mode thingy on revolution

Also, let me know how much xp you get an hour roughly, if you can?

 

Hellhounds with revolution, PvM, or general slayer

 

Airuts (92 Slayer needed)

Hellhounds

Airuts and Frost Dragons gives more xp per hour but you can't AFK them like Hellhounds.

 

I trained all my combat stats at Ghouls, this method is very good for a lot of charms.

 

If I was training Melee, I'd be using the best non-degradable armour I could buy with Soulsplit, Demonhorn Necklace and Bone Crusher. Alternatively, Full Guthan's Armour and Demonhorn and Bone Crusher. While it's not very high in terms of xp/h, it's easy and semi-afkable.

 

Drygores you should be getting atleast 250k/hr at waterfiends.

But just get it through slayer.

I think the 300k at waterfiends is attainable through range - I never liked meleeing them myself.

Hellhounds are fantastic, but I'd recommend doing as you're doing and getting slayer up. Would suck to get max combat then have to go do slayer and more combat

 

just tested with ovls/turmoil/cmaul and got 180k str xp in the hour. so yeah i think it's only attainable through range!

but yeah, thought about that and i hate ranging/maging when i have to for slayer but i've already maxed those skills

I was gonna say with the exception of miths lol, I hate them - got em blocked

 

I can't stand abberant spectres or whatever they're called and i haven't unlocked the gargoyles finishing blow so i have both of them blocked

 

The aberrant spectre room is pretty awkward yeah. Gargoyles used to drive me crazy too, I'd idle and get owned while I'm hitting 0's on a dead Gargoyle - unlocked that shit ASAP then stopped getting Gargoyle tasks >_<
