Twisted treeline question

Ok so i have a ranked team me and some buddies just made for fun and we are doing 3s and we won 4 out of 5 placement games and still got bronze 5 can someone tell me how this is possible? any input would be appreciated

 

I don't have that much knowledge of the way it works but it could be because someone on your team has low MMR for ranked 3's, not too sure though.

 

well still we won against 2 teams of golds and silvers for the rest we are all in silver and 1 guy on the team is plat, a friend from high school, so idk how winning 4 of 5 would give us bronze 5 like we could of lost all 5 and got the same thing makes no sense to me

 

Hmm when we loose all 5 we get silver still..

like people have said it depends on you and your team mates MMR

Your best bet is to literally play up to silver
and if your win ratio is about 80% like it was for your promos, try making another team as all of your MMR should be better.
and then if you win 4/5 you might get mid silver

It's the best way to do it, i mean when we get to our last game in promos (and we've won the first 4) we get put against high plat, low daimond and still only get gold

Just keep at it don't loose faith!

 

I dont know about you guys but it doesnt sound realistic, 4 out of 5 won and you head to bronze 5?

I am honestly confused, how on earth could that happen. I think you should contact player support for that.

 

How many games do you have in Treeline? There's a significant weight to the blind pick MMR when you get placed. I went 4 out of 5 and I got placed into Gold II with my last team, but I have like 400 wins.

It's not like it matters. Once you're in bronze V, if you actually deserve gold, you'll get there fast. There's no "ELO hell" when you pick your own teammates. So just stay in Bronze V and find out how easy it really is to climb.

 

3s placements are not like solo q. If you have no MMR you're automatically going to be placed against bad teams and put in a low rating.

Continue to make teams and try to go 5-0, or keep playing on yours and your MMR will raise up to what you deserve.

 

I did a little research and as you guys said it goes off of individual mmr we just started to play 3s all of us on the team never played them until about 2 or 3 days ago then we did ranked and did fairly well because noone really knows what to do generally speaking so we won 4 of 5 besides the last team we lost to had a very strong yasou anyways it goes off of mmr since we didn't play 3s before we had next to none so basically it just put us there but still it is very unfair to us to be placed in that i think

 

Just a side note: I've jumped from bronze 3 straight to bronze 1 with my ranked 3s team. Anybody else have that happen?
