Anyone planning on attending this? Have past RuneFests been successful?

 

I would be ashamed for the rest of my life. At least Comicon has a good reputation - Runefest is just too far. However, if you're after an inactive, rare RSN - you just go to Runefest and ask, usually you'll get it.

 

Is that seriously the way they release rare names?
Considering buying a ticket now lol.

 

I know a few people who got one at Runefest. I'd be so embarrassed if I went though xD

 

Yeah me too, but that'd be awesome though lol.

If the reward is good I might consider going to the UK for a weekend, and just showing up to get the exclusive stuff.

I don't understand being embarrassed, everyone else there plays. Its not like you have to post it on your facebook or anything.

I used to be really excited about going someday, now I really couldn't be fucked supporting Jagex and hearing about all their shitty updates, etc. Maybe if I was in the area I'd go, but I definitely wouldn't bother to travel there.


But yeah, if a few sythefags came I'd be a lot more tempted lol. Maybe 2015?

 

Yeah 1 letter names, extreme rare names that are for example banned. All you gotta do is just ask one of jmods and they will apply it to your account, you cannot transfer it to another account or try to sell it. Won't work from what i've heard

 

I'd rather have my dignity than a 1 letter name.

Edit: But if you can go and not give a damn what other people think, kudos to you. If you'd enjoy it go for it.

 

I'm a pretty big dork, I might be willing to wear an RS related shirt, but that's as far as I'd go.

Runefest is even too much for me. Guys/girls in their own custom made gear resembling Runescape's...it's a bit much for me.

 

Its almost like going to see a film and everyone's dressed up as their favourite character. Way too dorky for me too but if that's your thing.. people can go waste £100 xD

We sent some people from Dragon Dyce to Runefest 2011 and they handed out business cards, and did drop parties for people who attended Runefest.

It would be hilarious to go to Runefest and be like "O yeah, I'm Roary from Sythe, wut up cunts, you guys want me to MM some RWT??" or "I'm Kruw from Dragon Dyce, I brought some dice, who wants to dice duel their phats?" All the maxed/pmods who are there would lose their minds.

I wonder how many people wear the Burger King crowns as partyhats to Runefest.

I would go just to laugh plus I would buy a tribot/osbot shirt and go talk to mod MMG.

 

Interesting there will be an option to buy a ticket with bonds.. i.e. RWT.

 

They serve alcohol.
