Any Good graphics card for $231.00?

I am going to upgrade to a new graphics card soon and I don't know which one to choose. I especially want a geforce card I won't Mind a Radeon but I want a geforce the most as they have good texture. Is their any good ones for $231.00 or under, if it is just about 5 dollars over i won't really care as long as it's worth it.

 

well i have an outdated G-force graphics card on my downstairs pc but it cant support SWKOTOR graphics i reccomend radeon 16000 (the one with the girl on it) cost is about 250$ but worth it

it depends on what type of interface slots you have but im going to assume that you have a pci-e x16 consult your machine vendor and ask them what type of interface slots you have

I think a good vid card for around there is the EVGA 7600GT its a great card and its cheap, thats what i have in my system.

You should check your driver capicity and ask yourself what you want the radeon/geforce sites can helo you more

 

dude if you want to get a good card for your money...for only about 80 bucks you can get the ati radeon 9250 with 256mb of vram ..it owns i use it atm..and if you dont already have 1gig of ram with the remaining money you can probably afford it..

ok slysteeler dont listen to the rest of the people that say pci you want a pcie x16 video card the ones i recoomended will work but you will have to check your power supply open up your case and look at the metal box on the upper lefthand corner and look at its watt's Amps and volts and you will be good to go

 

Yeah u might need more power. I know i run a 800W monster of a power supply.

I currently thinking of buying a nvidia geforce 7950gt that the end has recommended. My PSU is 550 Watts thats enough power but their is a setback. You see my computer is an upgraded dell dimension 4700 from 2004, I heard the bios might not be compatible with it

 

you should be fine just switch your primary video adapter to PCIE-16 (or something like that) it should be under your peripherials or video settings your psu is good just make sure you have a proper 6 pin connector which im sure you have seeing as its a larger psu and the GT is very nice its what i have and im quite happy with it

Those are nice. My uncle has the 7950 also.

 

Just received it today it owns!!! i ran oblivion on ultra settings and it's still very smooth
