Think I was talked to by JMod

So I'm botting fishing on a newb, and some guy comes to me and asks a question about random stuff. Tells me to add him if I'm interested in a stupid deal, so I do, whatever. Then I see his world immediately change from green to yellow. He hopped faster than I could see... Mustve been a JMod IMO, or the worlds fastest typer

Could've been, gernally a J-Mod have a golden crown in-front of their name. But as you say, for a bot-busting method it would work.

 

I'm not sure whether it'd be a J-Mod or any staff member as Runescape as a whole have a new program which detects those whom may be botting or not.

However, I may stand corrected.

I have been in worlds and randomly mid-gameplay be hoped into a different world. Not a Jmod silly question.

Does not seem likely. Just does not seem like a very practical or plausible way to catch a botter. I know I ignore people all the time who address me tbh. Not to be a jerk, just because I'm usually not interested in what they're saying. So if that tactic was employed on me, and I didn't respond, I could get banned for botting simply because I didn't respond?

You can autotype your login information. If he had two browser clients open, logged out of one and logged in on the other with perfect timing, it'd be achievable.

 

Don't think a Jmod would log in to the game for a couple bots. Got a million dollar company to run. (May be billion dollar, not sure) They also have a pretty good detection system going.

However, I guess it wouldn't really surprise me if a Jmod would do something of the sort.

There is at least 1 Jmod dedicated to banning bots in 07.

The logout system is delayed in 07. It takes a bit to show that someone actually logged out or in. This could have been it.

Also, it's possible one of you were switched into a bot world. That happens automatically.

 

Might be a J-mod in a bot busting event, you're lucky he didn't ban you.

 

How do they catch you annyway with botting? with those methods talking to a person? And what are the others? So otherwise we could bot while watching tv soon as some one talks you will talk back? I just lost my whole account, they delited it after being catched with botting :\

 

I was leveling woodcutting yesterday and someone came up to me and said, "Hi". The instant I replied, they ran away from the tree and disappeared. Never saw them again.

I was getting random events like every 5 minutes it seemed too. It was ridiculous, so I'm beginning to wonder too.

 

I saw a jmod at crabs....... I stopped botting like 5 minutes before XD

That is a stange situation... But I have seen a J Mod bust bots before however, he had his gold crown next to his name
