I'm looking for a build for under $600 (less is better since I could buy more monitors with any saved money).

My basic requirements are 750 GB HD (prefer 1 TB), 8 GB RAM, and that's about it.

I need something with good graphics for graphic design. I will be using this for a few games here and there (though nothing too serious), graphic design work (lots of graphic programs such as entire Adobe suite), music streaming, and internet browsing. I'm not looking for a super gaming rig, I just need something to mostly get work done on it for graphic design.

Can anyone recommend me some good builds? I've never built a computer before. I'd like to get all of the parts and I'll look up how to put it together and/or get my friend to help me out.

My entire budget is about $700-800 before taxes, but I'd also like to get a monitor or two in there.

Might be worth going with the AMD FX 6300, instead of the intel i3 suggested above, if you are planning on over clocking... (you should, its soo simple these days)

EDIT: just realised its your first build, maybe over clocking isn't for you just yet :)

Any opinions on this build? What would you add to it?

I'll be buying a slim CD-ROM from a local shop, they don't have any on Newegg.

Like I said, I'm not a huge gamer so that affects what I'll need (though I have started playing a few Steam games after the sale).

I'm either going to build one, or buy one from Future Shop.

I know this may be a long shot, but I am currently selling my i5 setup [2 months old] for roughly in your budget. Comes with a 20" Monitor, Keyboard, Headset the whole nine yards. Let me know and we can discuss details.

But OT: That build up there isn't half bad for your budget.

The only thing is the TDP (Thermal Design Power) is 95W for the FX 6300 and only 54W for the i3-4130 so you'll have less heat and power draw. Here's a link comparing both of them.

Also as for storage, if it's important files etc. you could look at a RAID 1 array (saves the same files to two hard drives at the same time) or having a backup drive/use file history with Windows.
