    VERY disappointed in PlayerAuctions

Also: The Playerauctions representative has been online. I PM'd him the date this thread was created, 6-19-14. As you can see, he was last online yesterday, 6/23. No response. PM'd him again today, 6/24.

Making this public for all of Sythe to see. Have PM'd the link to this thread to the PA representative ( http://www.sythe.org/members/326450-playerauctions.html ) on Sythe. I've been waiting for my money for over a week and it's been in the "processing" stage for over 16 hours. I was never even notified that there was a reason for this and it seems Playerauctions failed to inspect the account. Very disappointed.

tldr(synopsis): I have had my payment held for a ridiculous amount of time because the buyer reported JAG was set on a League of Legends account (for those of you that may not know, this is a ridiculous, stupid assertion. League of Legends is not affiliated with Jagex in any way). I received and forwarded a PM from the buyer saying he reported no problem. PA is just sending me in circles.

UPDATE: Still no word from the Sythe PA person. Contacted live chat again...
(started out about caring to block buyer name but it's public information and just a playerauctions handle)

UPDATE 6/24: 3 days later even after sending a screenshot of a PM from the buyer (although the issue was a claim that JAG was sent on a league account) Playerauctions has stopped replying to my e-mails (35 hours since the last response). I still haven't been paid.

    Update: 6/25
Have finally gotten a response. They said they decided in my favor. Unfortunately, they reset the disbursement time. I am scheduled to be paid in 3 days. (For the record, they offered no apologies or reimbursement of any kind of this ridiculous situation and time wasted)

    Update: 6/26
The playerauctions representative from Sythe finally viewed the thread. Please see the quotes below

As I said, I will no longer bump this thread with the intention of exposure. Mistakes happen, at the end of the day it's not THAT big of a deal. Personally, I could have used the money for some things a few days ago but it's not as if I've never made a mistake. Like I said, I plan to continue to use Playerauctions.

As for what Jake extended to me, all I'll say is that it was a fair, monetary-based gesture to make up for the time lost. I'm satisfied with the resolution. The livechat support is, honestly, next to worthless. All you'll get is a "forwarded to <place higher department here>" and then that response could take over 24 hours. However, Jake knows what he is doing. Thanks Jake.

I'll continue to answer questions should anyone have them via private message.

Edit: I've requested this thread be locked.

Incorrect, my thread always stated that. What I edited was the parantheses, it always stated I PM'd the representative. I edited to include the link to his profile in case anyone was curious as to who the representative was.

So why don't you just get rid of the recovery questions?

Is it because you didn't make them, therefore, you don't know the answers?

Because I had a guy who bought an account, enabled JAG, and I can't get it removed unless I email Jagex and hassle them, but that's too much work for me. I found another buyer, and he tried to get a refund because he couldn't disable JAG and put his own recovery questions.

Initially, it looked like it was just another scenario of the payment taking longer than normal to process. However, the representative on 'live chat' clearly stated that's not the case, and the problem is the buyer is unsatisfied with the security/recovery questions on the account.

As I stated above, why don't you just remove them? Are you suspecting the buyer made them after PA did their inspection, and is now trying to claim he didn't make them. I can see ranting that they did their inspection, so there should be no issues and I agree, 100%.

At this point, I would continue to wait for a reply from the representative who has their own Sythe account, and in the mean-time shoot an email to both, [email protected] and mediation@playerauctions with your issue.

Argue the fact that they already did their inspection, and the account was supposed to be cleared then if there was any issues.

    Good luck man.

I was and still am a bit confused as to the first part of your post but anyways, yes you do seem to be understanding the situation. There were never any recovery questions set on the account. When playerauctions conducted their inspection, they should have seen that there were no recovery questions set. I'm not sure why the buyer is disputing the payment, he PM'd me thanking me for the account and everything; I was under the impression it was a smooth, successful transaction. I sent him a PM inquiring about what he was unsatisfied with and why he didn't let me know (i specifically told me if he ever had any questions or anything to please let me know), however, I haven't heard from him yet (nearing 24 hours). Thank you for those two e-mail addresses by the way, I'll be sure to e-mail them.

Just curious, does the same staff that mans the livechat man the e-mail address...? I'm looking to speak to someone that can actually get stuff done, not just "I will forward this to our higher ups thank you"

The PA person here is your best bet for "getting stuff done", I see you have messaged him already, I am not sure how active he is here but he has the authority to force things to move quickly and generally helps in these kinds of situations very well.

To me - (assuming all you said is the truth, nothing personal, just don't know you) it sounds like the guy is trying to get a refund on it due to buyers remorse or something, he could have put the questions on himself after obtaining and is deciding against it now so used this to try to get money back.

No, they aren't the same people. The 'live support' people are just workers who are taught to copy & paste automated messages for the most part, and occasionally answer a few questions if they know the answer. Otherwise, they just say to email PA or they will 'forward the message to a higher team' or whatever.

My first part was asking why you don't just have him change the email back to yours so that you can remove the recovery questions, and change the email back to his and everyone is happy. The buyer is unhappy that there are recovery questions on the account, but you're saying there never were any before you sold it and the PA inspection team should be able to vouch for you. I'm going to go ahead and assume this is because you are not the one who set them if you claim they were not there in the first place, and that would mean the buyer set them and is playing dumb.

However, as I said in my first post, a simple email should do the trick. Explain your situation and what's going on, and how the buyer is trying to dupe you, the PA inspection team already did their inspection and should be able to confirm they were not there, so there should be no issues and the buyer has to accept the account at this point.

Account sales are a headache for everyone involved. If you want to sell an account for real $, prepare for some bullshit. This is not a gold sale where items can be irreversibly handed to another party.

The PA guy here still hasn't replied.

    ...

Sorry for the confusion, this is a League of Legends account. & because why the hell does Playerauctions conduct fees if I have to do their job for them + correct their mistakes/the buyers attempts at a refund or something?

I did e-mail them yesterday. Still no response.

Updated the thread with what happened when I contacted live chat today.
Literally got a PM from the buyer saying he never even complained..I would LOVE some explanations.

Bump for exposure. This is ridiculous. PA is holding a payment because JAG is set on a League of Legends account.

As I have read the thread, it seems that the problem is for a game account that has a Jagex Account Guardian. As I am reading, still the buyer doesn't have any access to your game account because of the Jagex issue. Since the buyer didn't have access, then how come you don't have access too? and yet we all know that you can still reclaim the game account information?

Can you prove that you don't have access to your game account? and that the game account information is change?

    Everybody can do that.

    Can you read?

This is a League of Legends account. There is no Jagex Account Guardian. The buyer personally told me that everything is fine with his purchase and he never even disputed anything.

Guys can you also read?? look at the mediators e-mail.

I know that there is no Jagex Account Guardian for League of Legends, but how come the member received that kind of game account?

When did he told you this? is it after the dispute or before the dispute?

I didn't use PlayerAuctions yet, but it seems like their game account inspection s*cks! or the question is....

Did game account inspection really happens??

If I where you! I will reclaim the account!

    Try to think first!
