Fake emails from "RuneScape.com"

Is anyone else getting these "Verify your RuneScape account" titled emails from "RuneScape.com" (yes, im not stupid enough to think those would actually come from RS..) today i noticed i had 3 of these in my msn acc.. And theyre most likely trojan/phishing emails, but cause of the trojan part i dont feel like checking.. Just wanted to know if anyone else here has been getting those...

And also of course DONT OPEN THEM .. As Jagex has already told they never email u.. And u dont need to give ur email when registering.. But apparently the person is getting the emails from a site like this.

EDIT: Alright.. Seems that its a phishing email.. But still, dont do it

Yea.. Most likely some kid collecting msn adresses from this site.

 

i got 1......lols.....i virus scanned it b4 i opned it, it has a key logger on it. DO

NOT OPEN THE FILE OR THIS SCAMMER WILL HAVE YOUR SYTHE AND RUNESCAPE ACOUNTS!!!

Do you mind posting the headers for these emails (or pm me one )?

The text is rather funny, no idea in what language it is written, but definitely that couldn't be english.

 

I do not think it has a keylogger inside, nor opening it will install it in your computer. It just leads to a phishing page

they probably take your rs name and send an email to [email protected]EVER

There's a way to spoof your email address, but it takes lots of time to work. Just remember that even if it's [email protected], someone could've still spoofed it, and that it didn't really come from there.

 

Does this seriously still need warning? I think we flew past that part when JaGeX reiterated that it doesn't, and will never, email you?

The only way you could fall for this is if you went to the bathroom, and your sibling decided to do it. Even then, I doubt something so stupid as this would even fall into the range of practical scamming.
