I dont use Paypal and a friend (Travis) is holding $200 for me. Since hes in NZ Id have to go through x2 conversion fees (PP and WU) if he were to send it.

I need someone trusted to send me the PP money via WU. Must be from America, because the conversion everywhere else is a bite in the ass. Must be trusted, preferably done on the same day. You keep $10.

I'm not exactly understanding how there's a way to avoid going through 2 conversion fees, even if someone else is assisting you.

If Travis withdraws the funds, Paypal has conversion fees. NZ isn't known for their stable currency which causes both companies to take a big bite. As far as I am aware (but Ill double check when hes on), his PP has USD and not NZD, to withdraw it PP will turn the USD into NZD with a big fee from conversion. Then once hes withdrawn it, its WU's time for their share.

Maybe I'm not understanding this but if it's only $200, the amount you lose from conversion is probably less than $10. PayPal takes a ~3% margin when converting currencies.

WU also has conversion fees. There is no way a $200 USD -> NZD transaction on PP would cost more than the same transaction via WU.

I think he's trying to send $200 from Travis's PayPal account (USD) to him (In the USA). For Travis to withdraw $200 it'll be converted to NZD once. Then for Travis to WU would cost WU fees + conversion when Apath picks it up.

So if Travis sends the $200 to someone else in the USA, and they withdraw it and send there's no conversion...

Regardless, at most you're saving $2~ if you pay someone $10 to do this.

Im not from the US. Philippines atm. And the USD is a somewhat stable currency here. I remember when I bought gold from you (few times), Arcus, when I was in a different country. I ended up paying 10-20% more for you to receive the equivalent of what you'd have if you were from the US. Basically CAD was lower than the USD value, but WU's conversion rate was CAD is higher than US when sending it (Just over 5% higher than the USD at the time). Im pretty sure it's similar here in terms of conversion. I know the USD rate here has a maybe 1-2% difference when receiving/sending it via WU. Doubt its anywhere close for almost every other country.

Id do it myself, but I dont use PP with good reason. Most of the banks in this underdeveloped country doesn't support Paypal unless you link it to a credit card. Im not opening a new bank and depositing $300 to withdraw PP funds lol.

There will also be PP fees up to 2% if you were to send PP to someone in US, even if sent as gift. I suggest just doing it yourself, if you need a credit card your bank should be able to give you a debit card for your account.
