Reset my 2FA please ~.~

Hey guys,

I just recently formatted my phone (you know... mods and all that fun stuff)... Forgot about my 2-factor authentication needing to get backed up. If someone could reset it for me so that I can set it up again, it would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if they do this, but you're better off PM'ing an admin.

 

I believe they do this as it was discussed upon initial release of the authenticator. Although you may be right and I need to ask an admin. Just not sure which one to ask for that specific issue (thus why I'm asking here instead). :|

 

Alright... So I'm updating this now. I've reset my 2-factor Authentication (no more pretty lock mini-rank)... And now after I scan the QR code it's telling me to please make sure I have a valid Google Authenticator account. I'm not sure what that means because I'm using Google Authenticator.

Now some other information: I recently formatted my phone over to Cyanogenmod just to get away from the phone company's extremely overzealous bloatware that was bogging the phone down. After doing that I reinstalled everything, but had forgotten that I needed to back-up my 2 Factor Authenticator.

Now that I have my phone set up properly and I'm content, it keeps denying me access to the authenticator QR code - I'll scan it, it gives me the random number back - but when I enter that number it tells me it's not valid. The time on the phone is correct, so I'm not sure what else the issue could be.

 

Try a different auth? I use Duo Mobile. It's free from the App store.

 

If that other app also doesn't work, set your phone's time to automatically update rather than manually, this can often solve the problem

 

Tested both ideas. Neither have worked. :|
