Why does everyone hate EoC so much on here?

Also, why is everyone extremely optimistic about legacy? I'm not sure that it's going to be the game changer that everyone is hyping it up to be.

 

A lot of people hate on EoC since it was implemented even though it was never supported by a large majority of players. In addition to that, it made PvP obsolete - and with it, a significant portion of players' accounts who had spent years designing their accounts for PvP.

 

I quit playing like 3 years ago and when I came back last month it was a big shock, and I don't like most of the changes.
Id have gone over to rs07 but didn't want to re-start again considering I have 12 99's and a couple hundred mill when I re-started
what is legacy mode supposed to be?

 

People don't like change, myself included. But RuneScape isn't the bedroom business it was and it's now one of the big ones out there. Point being; it's had to adapt from the simple click-and-sit that it was and do what other games are.

Most veteran players are unhappy about this because their accounts which were some of the best are now severely outdated and there's literally an update making the game easier every month.

 

EoC for me personally was the flop of runescape in their history and legacy will be RS3 with no EoC, please forum correct me if I'm wrong that why everyone is hyped for Legacy.

 

will you still have your accounts with your skills + bank etc on legacy or will it be a new start?

 

I don't hate eoc as much but I didnt liek the change. I mean they couldve made it more like LOL because all you do is spam your keyboard in rs now. No aim or anything

 

EoC is okay, I just like the old stuff a lot more, because it was better in my opinion. That's not a rose colored spectacle or nostalgic way of looking at it, I just had more fun.

I like Legacy simply because I prefer the old interface. I hate RS3's interface.

 

I enjoy new combat system, however there may have been a better way to implement it. People may have been too overwhelmed by the initial change that they were deterred from combat altogether.

On a side note, I'm sure a lot of people are looking forward to the new legacy mode.

 

EoC has so many downfalls , i think rs tried to copy WoW too much , but failed because people played runescape because of the way it was

 

Really, IMO there should've been "EOC Worlds" from the start.

 

It isn't/wasn't practical or possible to have both pre-eoc and eoc alongside each other. Hence, why legacy will fail or at least not live up to expectations.

 

The Interface is Just Too Muchh. I Started Playing in 04-ish? & Loved The Simplicity of It All, Now You Have Too Much To Click, Too Much To Look at, & Idek What Armors or Weapons are Good, Before Owning a Whip Was Badass, Now It's Like Ehh, Whateverr.

 

The problem is that EoC came out much too fast. I literally felt like I was playing a new game. And EoC was big enough to make people quit, like actually quit, even when PKing first went out, people quit but they were still lingering around, but I went a year or two without even going on the runescape page. It basically got to the point where it's like, ok time to move on.
Legacy gives me some hope, I will buy membership but just reading the forums and browsing the site I'm a bit disappointed, not all the new updates, but the cheap updates that make this game so much easier, I remember when leveling up too forever and when you saw a person with a 99 cape it was kind of a big deal. But now, it seems like the sell ways to level up quicker and it's just a bit disappointing if you ask me.
I'll give legacy a try, but I feel like RS3 is everything that jag mods said runescape would never be.

 

70% of Runescape players are pking even if it's once a week or everyday or once a month they pk for fun.Eoc destroyed pking and they turned pvm into shit too . Only skillers survived after this update ....
