These are the 3 steps that I took when wooing my girlfriend of 4 years, and most of the other girls I've dated for that matter.

1) Be flirty, give her compliments, text her, talk to her, but you need to make sure that she knows you are kind of interested in her, this way you don't get friend-zoned. If straight off the bat shes reluctant to talk to you, it's either a "erm no." or shes just shy or not sure. You need to have conversations flowing in order to establish this connection which means no awkward conversations or text messages..

2) After a few weeks/couple of months, once you have built a connection, you ease off a little, you don't text her as often, or you don't go out of your way to communicate with her, you just do your own thing for a week or so. This means you don't start the conversations as often, and when you see her around (school) you just give a small smile and walk in the other direction. *ALOT of kids make the stupid mistake of being a total dick to the girl during this stage, if you're going to do this you might aswell give up. You want to ease off the contact, not make her think you're a total moron.

Now this is where you find out if she likes you or if you guys have any chance of being together.

3) If this girl, during the period of you easing off the contact a little, starts to start the text messages, initiate the communication or go out of her way to make contact with you, you know that you have a chance. This is when you start talking again and portray your feelings to her, more often than not she is going to feel the same way. This means that she is texting you like "Heyy how you doing?" just stuff like that which shows that she is wondering what you have been up to and why you're not talking to her as often.

However.

If you stop texting her and you just don't hear from her (you stop talking), she's probably not interested in a relationship because she's thinking of other people/things which obviously have priority over you. This is the point where you think to yourself, do I go for it and 'ruin' (harsh word) the flirty friendship or just accept that your friends.

Notes:

Never ask a girl out over the internet (she has time to rethink her answer and it's also easier for her to say no)
Don't be a person who will talk to her over text and not in person, it makes it awkward and you're probably not going to be of interest to her.
Don't talk about liking any other girls (even if you do) it puts her off and makes her think that she's not your top priority.
