Spurs are very fundamentally sound but I just think Heat are too much for them offensively.

Like I said before, it's about how Parker's ankle feels. But the xfactor in this series is Kowani Leonard and how well he defends LBJ and scores. He's got game so let's see if he shows up.

The spurs have a greater chance of winning if Parker is healthy. Sport critics say the 2 time defending champs are now the underdogs which is funny in my eyes. I'm an avid heat fan, but I can't deny the power of teamwork that consist of the spurs. I have the spurs winning in 6 or 7.

Anyone notice how these two teams both have very deep benches? Both have 10 players ready to go every night. Cant say the same for the thunder and the pacers.

Indeed, I think the benches play a pivotal role for both teams. I worry about the Spurs role players because they haven't tasted the elusive title win. Meanwhile, most of the Heat players have tasted it.

So I really, REALLY worry about the Spurs role players in this series.

    Looooooool.

The Jordan v Lebron debate took a turn tonight.

Everyone always says LBJ would physically dominate Jordan. But after tonight, him nearly dying over a broken air conditioner...leaves a lot to question.

This comment is just a joke + bit of banter to @BartonsVodka cuz we like arguing Jordan v. LBJ

Do you know how the body works? Excessive heat can cause fatigue, and lebron's play style caused him to exert more energy than usual. Not only that, but trying to overdo your body's limit will force it to "lock up", which he experienced. It's not a good feeling at all. His absence caused shock on the heat's team which is no excuse at all. Sloppy plays caused them to lose the game down the stretch with the addition of temperature completely exhausted them.

    Gotta love ignorance.

Then he's not able to control his body well enough.

    Gotta love butthurt.

Jordan playing with the flu, food poisoning? Hits game winning shot?

    To clinch the finals?

    Haters gonna hate.

All I ever hear about is how physically superior Lebron is to Jordan. No excuses for the greatest of all time. You just sound like the typical bandwagon heat fan.

I respect Lebron but "fatigue" isn't an adequate excuse. This guy gets paid millions to be a physical juggernaut. Body failing him or not, Jordan never limped out of a game like that. It was 90 degrees in the building, not 200.

You act as if the Spurs weren't playing in the heat too.

There are not enough facepalms for this comment.

Do you expect him to adapt to the sudden change his body is experiencing? If you're an avid basketball follower you would know that Lebron exerts the most energy on the court. Like I mentioned, his play style is super aggressive. Have you ever tried going hard in 90 degree weather for over 40 minutes? You probably haven't.

Either way it's annoying seeing everyone bash him because he is not "super human". We are all humans with limits.

Then his fanboys need to admit that and stop using it every-time in an argument of Jordan vs Lebron that LBJ is physically superior. Jordan gave just as much effort, in a game where hacking the shit out of a player was allowed.

If a broken air conditioner stopped Lebron so drastically, I wonder how he'd handle the contact of the old NBA.

I'm just saying with comments like that you just seem like a blind fanboy of Lebron.

Nobody is saying he's not a great player.

The flu doesn't cause your body to "lock up". It slows you down, but you're definitely able to continue playing the game.

I don't care about the Jordan comparisons because it's completely irrelevant.

It's not completely irrelevant to my comment, that you just took your own way. Which is fine, that's how sports discussion works...I simply swung the pendulum back and went back to my original comment: Jordan and LBJ.

You act as if we called him a garbage player and that he sucks or something.

I simply said his aura took a hit tonight, it's not like I'm the only one thinking that. Yeah, he's human...blah blah blah. We get it, dude.

It's the typical LBJ fan that doesn't get it..they seem to think just his frame alone automatically equates to physically superior specimen to Jordan.

It seems that you are unaware of your actions. You bashed him, and then proceeded to throw out comparisons as if it's relevant in the situation given.

If this was any other player, not a word would be spoken of it.

The knowledge of the body is a powerful and useful tool. You should pick up on it.

It was simply a spur of the moment type post. I was simply thinking how Lebron would react in the older, more physicality allowed NBA. I'm not saying the NBA isn't more athletic now, it definitely is.

But physicality isn't allowed as much anymore. If heat effected LBJ that much, I wonder. That's all. Didn't mean to flamebait, or troll. I recognize LBJ could possibly end up being the best of all time. But tonight, you have to admit, is baffling...because of who it happened to, not the science behind why it happened.

People appraise Lebron as being almost supernatural, so I'm shocked some added heat impacted him, of all people, the most. Everybody played in the same conditions, whether the Spurs knew beforehand the air conditioning was broken..who knows.

I'm simply shocked how much it impacted James, as is almost everyone else. I still pick the Heat to win this series. I just wanted to use a common argument that Lebron lovers use, because it's not as simple as him being more muscular meaning he'd be able to impose himself on Jordan.

Anyway, enough of the Jordan + James argument. I didn't want it to turn into another debate. I was just pondering further how James would hang in the 90's NBA.

Also, I simply said he "nearly died" because of a broken air conditioner. It's hyperbole, not bashing.

Lebron is the centerpiece and heart of the heat. The temperature of the center made his body react differently to others. While that isn't hard to believe he also played through body cramps which is a dumb move. He was smart to be asked to taken out the game. Why should he risk not playing multiple games of the finals because of the expectations fans and critics hold? Everyone should be focusing on how poorly the heat execute without him.

Lebron is the best player in the NBA....so you know they're going to focus on him and only him when they analyze the loss tonight. That's the price you pay when you're the best, and the nucleus of the team, even when it's not that persons fault they lost.

Like I said, I still pick the Heat to win the series. However, most Heat fans I know are already saying things like "The Spurs cheated" and "The game shouldn't count because proper protocol wasn't adhered to". I just find it amazing, as if the Spurs were playing in air conditioning and the Heat weren't.

Surely that's just as absurd of my hyperbole of "Lebron almost dying". It was a joke. Just like Anet's gif was.

Lighten up man. I was overzealous in saying "butthurt" much but I'm tired of almost every thread on Sythe turning into an e-argument. I was just joking though, it was mainly targeted @Barton because we have had some banter over that very topic.

I acknowledge Lebron as 1: The best player in the NBA and 2: the fact that his cramps are a human occurrence.

And look, lol, if you thought my joke was bad, here's just a snippet of ESPN people:

"Lebron James is nothing but hype
    PEDs causes cramping: http://www-cgi.cnn.com/HEALTH/library/HQ/01105.html

Ever wonder why Lebron cramps all the time? He cramped up last year too.

    NBA Playoffs

I have been watching NBA for a long time !

i want to say one thing ... Kobe is the best player ever to set foot in the NBA. i want to see another player with kobe's stats and if you say stats aren't everything can show me who else makes impossible 3 pointers from 35 feet deep as he is falling down?

Kobe is the best in the NBA. The Heat coach is a nobody , he just has to sit there he has LeBron do everything for him, the Spurs coach is the best in the NBA his benches are very deep , miami I don't think so. you can count on bosh 40% of the time in the clutch moment , LeBron last year he could not finish , this year he showed he has problems finishing again not as much .

LeBron is just the " biggest and BEST player on the HEAT " and he is surronded by Dwane Wade, Ray Allen, Mario these people all play a huge part in his success and the heat can't do it without him . when they lose this year LeBron will leave , and Wade will retire .

also the temperature in the room , i think we can not relate to this and I do not think it is fair for us to judge this ??

we are not the NBA players , i do not think any of us do that much physical activity in a NBA game infront of a huge crowd that makes the air hotter more people breathe , people sweat and pass out it's hard to play in those conditions , that is why we play inside if it did not make any difference just fuck it , have them play in the street they can sell more tickets that way .

    spurs will win in 6
