I made this for a company a year or two ago. Not sure if it's good since my tastes sometimes does not match with the majority.

To make my next graphics piece of work better (whatever it is, I don't know yet), how can I improve the banner if I make some similar work in the future?

I based it on a preset 3D style and texture. The rest of the effects and colouring are done on Photoshop.

I'd suggest learning what a logo is and isn't first, and this isn't a logo. This is a banner. Logos are memorable images/typography that is easily displayed or printed, can easily be recognized, and are used for branding purposes to give a business identity.

 

It's too sharp, edges need to be refined (feathered). The text is harsh and placement needs adjusting.

 

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep that in mind next time. I have edited the thread with more suitable words where possible (won't let me edit thread title).

Thanks, I'll consider using smoother effects next time and I'll consider smoother bevel edges for the 3D text. I don't know what you mean by placement, but if you mean that the character spacing and alignment isn't exact, I'll try be more aware of it next time.

 

By placement I mean position. I was referring to the spacing of arts.
