How often do you have games like this?

Top and mid played horribly all game, Yi just ganked bot all the time (we didn't even need him to gank) and Braum stole a few kills by using his Q, or even using an AA to get the kill even though i was able to AA them to kill them.

Even though top and mid fed quite hard, it was apparently MY fault that we lost according to Yi.

It seems that 70% of games i've played lately have been like this, I play well but my team still do bad but it's not their fault, it's mine. Barely played ranked in the past week it's just too stupid. Now I don't like to see people say that they deserve to be higher and such but in this past week, I feel like at least half of my losses are because of other members of the team, so annoying. Maybe it's just me being unlucky, or it is really just me being bad and causing us to lose most of my games >.<

Have you tried playing Mid/Jungle? For more of an impact early-mid?

 

I play jungle quite a bit, but I don't play it very well because I don't gank *enough*. I'm not a gank heavy jungler, mainly because i'm not overly gfood at it, so if a lane can't stay equal or loses, the game can be lost, fair enough that it's because of me not being able to gank sometimes though.

For mid, i'm just not that good with it. I have quite a few mid champs but there's only a few that I can play, maybe it's a role I should practice more i guess, could help me with being able to try and carry games.

 

What server do you play on?

It seems like you're at the ELO you should be from what you said. Try being more versatile, it will help. No harm losing games if you're improving.

And like every player, I have bad games, but based on individual performance it seems I should win more games, but it's a team game after all. If members of a team don't take advice then there isn't anything I can do.

 

Keep a positive attitude, it does help. I know the frustration of bad-team mates and so on.

Which mid laners would you suggest by the way? Currently have Annie, Karma, Katarina, Kha'Zix, LeBlanc, Nidalee, Twisted Fate and Ziggs.

 

TF is great if you understand how to play him and have a good understanding of pressure and how to force plays/objectives.

Kat/LB/Nid, all are faceroll if you're skill level is higher than the enemy.

I personally play Kat/Nid whenever I can when boosting, regardless of counter picks such as Diana/Kassadin/Annie etc.

 

Mute your allies, it helps for me

 

First champion select, I get mid, picked Kata.

We had 2 people, one instalocked jungle, the other (they were 1st+second pick) the guy who was 1st pick also locked in jungle, so I was just waiting to see who would go top. In the last 2 seconds they both switched to ignite. Had to dodge as I couldn't see that going well at all *sigh*

 

I rarely ever dodge. Even if we have no jungle, or two mids, etc. Never know what can happen. However, if you're certain it's going to be a loss, dodging is better, as you drop in LP, but you're MMR stays intact.

 

From the chat I knew that the game wouldn't go too well, nevermind the 2 top/jungle.

 

I don't think you should recommend any of those...

If you're boosting then it doesn't really matter because you already have the skill to do so, but if you're just an average player trying to learn how to carry mid, they're all pretty skill intensive picks.

I think out of all the champions the OP said he has, he should go with Annie. Easy to carry with, easy laning phase, and can snowball pretty well too.

 

You let Braum get a higher level than you? You should focus on learning ways to maximize XP gain as an ADC. Getting levels doesn't stop once laning is over.


I hate to say it, but I don't think it's entirely your team's fault. Being "stuck in silver" can be frustrating because your teammates may be pretty bad, but being "stuck" in silver also means you're there because there are significant parts of your playstyle that are lacking as well.

Saying Master Yi shouldn't be ganking bottom is ridiculous. Lucian and Yi together should very easily be able to take bottom tower and/or dragon after a successful gank. If you receive a successful gank and only use that gank to gain +300 gold for the kill, that's why you're in Silver II with 0 LP. Most successful ganks should be used to gain map control advantage, take objectives, or do something else with the fact that it's a 3v1 or 3v0 lane. Even if you win a gank with 50 health leftover, as long as you have vision of their mid laner, keep pushing and keep an eye on their spawn timers. This will give you hits on the tower and have the tower "soak up exp" so that they can't catch up to you in levels. When you're 100% safe to push, make sure you do so.

For that matter, think of why Yi actually should NOT have ganked top or mid. Renekton should naturally be snowballing; he only needs a gank level 3 or 4. After that, ganking top just leaves dragon wide open, and any good top laner knows not to expect a whole ton of ganks. Lux was clearly behind from the moment she set foot in lane; ganking her lane will just force a fight that will cause Lux to probably die even more. Master Yi did exactly what I would have done in that match: he focused the only lane that could be impactful. Imagine his frustration when he kept handing your lane successful kills and/or forcing the enemy ADC back to base, and you never took dragon or tower with that momentum?
