Runescape cheating satisfaction?

Does anyone else feel that since they started buying gold, trading accounts or whatever else, that in the short term it was amazing but thereafter, the game loses the "fun" element? I personally feel it has for me. Ever since I discovered RSwalmart

 

The entire value of a video game is in the time you have to spend playing it. The more time it takes for you to achieve something (99 runecrafting for example) the more you will value it.

I found that after botting it no longer felt like the account was my baby, just some tool.

 

When you've been playing Runescape as long as I have, you'll have bipolar feelings toward the game regularly.

 

It only satisfacts me when I'm pking, aside from that it's purely botting

 

I totally agree, I used to earn money cutting yew logs and everything and I remember I spent my bank on dclaws. Now it's so easy to get everything but your just lazy

 

I just like making money lol, not "cheating"

 

Yup this is totally true I will never feel an acc is mine or be proud of it if it was botted so yea All my accs I play on has never been botted haha

 

Yeah, for me it was making a pure that had 60 attack and 70 strength that I hand trained. I then bought like ~10M cash for claws and yep honestly from that day onwards, I always saw RS differently When there's buy able stuff it just took the fun outa it for me!

 

I think this really depends on what part of the game you find enjoyment from.
some people in this thread mentioned already mentioned they preferred pking, making money or just training their account.

A pker, would never want to train his own account or make his own gold. He only enjoys the pking part of the game.

Whereas, the skiller only enjoys skilling and buying an account would deprive him of enjoying training it.

 

yeah ever since i first botted ( i no longer bot as of about 2 years now) it ruined the amount of time i invest into this, i take things more slowly because i cant handle the "grind" aspect of RS anymore, its not fun for more than 2-3 hours anymore

 

Honestly I love that I could get to 99 agility without actually doing it lol.
I imagine how annoying it would be to actually do it...

 

RS has never really been about 'playing' for me it was rather about getting as far as possible and bots give me a competitive advantage so nothing to complain about.

 

Which is why I no longer cheat on the game. I've cheated my way to two completionist accounts to have them both banned. There was never a real challenge for me until I started playing myself. The accomplishments feel so much better knowing you did it yourself. That is what playing a game is all about.
