There's a lot of hosters you can download from - if you can run it on a PC, I suggest doing so before you make the commitment of purchasing.

At least check GameStop and see if they have a used copy - you can return used copies for full value.

 

I've been watching Chris Smoove's gameplays, looking good so far.

 

Now that the game has been out for a while, what do you guys think of it? I still see a lot of bad "reviews" but the individual gamers that play it that I have asked love it.

 

its a pretty poorly coded game.

I was going to buy this yesterday but after reading several bad reviews I went ahead and bought Wolfenstein instead, pretty good so far.

 

Wolfstein is better than Watchdogs but it's not that bad as the reviews say. They were pretty brutal to the game.

 

I picked it up.. I honestly don't know why - It's getting swapped in for UFC asap.

 

I watched a couple parts of the Gameplay Walkthrough by theRadBrad on Youtube and the game looks amazing, Wish I had an Xbox One so I could get Watchdogs.

 

Such a fucking disappointing game. Barely even played it because it gets boring as shit real quick.

 

So it's not worth getting or is it worth it for that first few minutes?

 

Personally when it drops down to perhaps half the price it is currently I'd say it warrants a purchase but until then, ain't worth it. Once I finished the game I simply didn't care about the side missions as they weren't really compelling in any sense.

 

Ah ok. I am more annoyed now about how they dumbed down the PC graphics. There is a mod that reenables some stuff they wrote that makes it more efficient and a lot better looking. Pisses me off they would try and make consoles look close when they are not at all.

 

While I don't think the next gen consoles graphics capabilities have been pushed to the limits (doubt they will be until PS3/360 gets phased out so they can develop solely for next gen), they need to accept that PC can do a lot more and run with it. Developing the game with varying levels of graphics however reduces the time they can spend on threshing out the game itself. That's why, although unpopular at the time, the GTA 5 releasing only to PS3/360 at the start was a good idea in my opinion. It gives them extra time to actually utilize the capabilities of the superior machines.

No yea. I just find it really dumb that they left out stuff from the PC version for some reason... It made it so much better! Just fucking do it! It's not hard... Modders have already figured it out. Jesus.

Someone found all the code they took "locked" for PC players and supposedly unlocked it. We're back to the 2012/2013 E3 graphics.

 

I don't even care if games do not strive for good graphics. They just have to look nice and have good game play. IE: Minecraft.

But if you make them really nice and then decide to just not let people have them, what the fuck?

 

Well that's what I'm saying. Ubisoft realized the major spread between PCs and Consoles and decided to cut back on PC's graphics just to make the console gamers feel better about themselves. I would imagine the 8-month "optimization" was about that exact dilemma of having to cut back on what PC's graphics could actually showcase without creaming console gamers.

 

Who cares. People will still buy it.
