jagex is watching

do you think jagex monitors cheating/botting sites like this? probaly not but theres always the chance they can?

 

They are, of course they are... Thats why dont post any account names and whole stat pictures without cencore some of the stats.

 

what could they do with a picture? i can post pics from other sources claiming they're mine... They won't do shit about that im sure

 

If youre trying to sell and account and they can see your username, im pretty sure it will get banned soon.

 

Posting an image of an account you're trying to sell isn't likely to get it banned but jagex will flag the account and monitor the account activity including accounts associated with it.

No one wants a flagged account, I have no doubt there is at least one jagex employee who is employed just to monitor websites such as sythe.

 

This. I think they would take into account that some people are looking to scam, and don't actually own the account.

That has to do with copyright infringement. It's common sense however that you shouldn't post any revealing information on Sythe since it is open for all eyes to see.

 

I can guarantee that they do. They occasionally visit gold sites livechats to ban people and snoop through accounts to ban posted on forums.

i don't think they are allowed to but absolutely they do.

 

Jagex are allowed to visit whatever website they want unless a court orders otherwise.

Sythe.org could have a condition of use that states that jagex employees are not permitted to use the forums but it would only be a condition of use, not law.

By all means, sythe staff can IP ban jmods/staff and blacklist their emails but they can't press charges. It's the same with botting, jagex states in their TOS that players aren't permitted to bot. If you bot jagex can refuse you further service, but botting isn't against the law.
