^&**TWC&Pardon** New Rules and Ideas for It **TWC&Pardon**&^

First and foremost, similarly when a user is banned on a VB website, when a user gets a TWC they should be notified via email and log in via pm in order to establish why they have a TWC and the rules of appealing.


NOW.... I KNOW that there are pinned rules and regulations about when to dispute ect.. listed here.

However I have SEVERAL concerns after reviewing some of the "threads" here at Sythe.org.

First:
Why is it these folks are allowed to pardon before the 6 months that was allotted to their accounts?

Second:
This is THE WORST bit of moderating I have ever seen. I have been a member of several communities including The Tech Guide,PowerBot, OSBot, and TriBot, and I have NEVER seen such an arrogant moderator.

^^ You go FireZ, you're a moderator on an online website that deals with pixels... Grow up and move out of your mom's basement. If you are going to inhibit someones activities on the website, at least make it known to them why.

 

Said user is aware as there was a PM conversation pertaining to another report/issue before the TWC was issued. Users are always welcome to PM a member of staff for clarification.

I don't see where the problem is with the system.

 

The problem is people don't know why they're being condemned. You should have to justify to the user why they have a TWC. That should be done immediately. The user shouldn't have to go off gallivanting and searching for answers.

 

Well the person you mentioned in this thread does know.

And if you want to put through a legitimate suggestion for TWC's reasons to be PM'd or whatever you're wanting then I'd suggest doing so without trying to piss off members of staff, lol.

Also. Please take note as you can't seem to comprehend, I have not mentioned ANY person in this thread.

If you feel I have mentioned someone, you have deducted incorrectly, the implication of your deduction is incorrect. Also, up until this point, I have not been "trying to piss off members of the staff." You should be able to take feedback from members of the community even if they are a "New Comer" or "Leecher" or a "Hero."

So let me attempt to be straightforward in an attempt to get you to rationalize this thread....

How does someone appeal a TWC unless they are fully informed on why they received it?
This would be exactly like me writing you a parking ticket but not telling you what parking offense you committed. It would then be your job to track down the officer and request information on it, whereas the officer should have issued that information on the citation.

I understand Sythe.org IS NOT a court of law, but this is just asinine.

I will try to have a more positive feedback this time. Look, there isn't anything wrong with the pardon system currently. Honestly it's the staffs choice whom they want to bring back anyway. I don't even believe the pardon system should exist except for special circumstances everyone knows the rules and should abide by them. Don't get banned permanently and you won't have to worry about it. By you I mean general.

Also FireZ has been doing a very good job lately.

 

99.9% of the time TWC's are warranted, and the user should know why they have received one. Otherwise usually a quick site search can reveal the report placed against them.

 

You guys act like I know what the hell you are talking about. I am so sick of my name being brought up in stupid shit like this.

I haven't gone out of my way to ask why I have it because honestly... I just don't care anymore. It was placed during a time that I was gone so I am just to magically guess why I got it.

I do feel that there should be some kind of indication as to why people get TWC's either by clicking the TWC or on a link on their profile for people to check out if they are conducting trades. I have been asked repeatedly as to why I have a TWC and if I was a more dishonest person, I could fib about why since there isn't public record as to why it was applied.

I agree entirely with your first half of the post. That snippet of the conversation from FireZ makes me lose almost all of my respect for that "man," if you can bear to call him that.

I mentioned 2 VERY distinct points. The second point referred to a post that was in a thread about a particular case. As it so happens, this is merely circumstantial and not directly intended, although I can see the irony that may come with it. The second point was referring toward the difficulty that members can have in finding this information. I did not intend to make any reference toward the case.

The flame was intended due to your grievances caused by a 'Global Moderator' and yourself. In all of your addressing posts, you always seem to have sarcastic response as if you are better than the majority of the site.

Assuming the above quote (Roary) is true, please do a QUICK search that turns up why she, Ziggily, has a TWC. There is NOTHING.

Perhaps this is because sometimes ban/TWC reasons are keep private? Even the staff seem very vague about why it was given when they are asked.

 

Read the post above my last, she doesn't even know why she has it.

This is just one current and prominent example that I didn't want to bring into this.

Anyway OT; make a proper suggestion if you want something done

 

Users have priviledge to ask for pardons for offences which caused perm ban once per 6months, explanation is simple, they need to learn something from their mistakes and we make sure they dont flood forums with disputes

As for Firez, he's cool. Strong character/opinion is not same as arrogant.

We need to know why someone was TWC'ed. They are given out for a plethora of reasons and asking the person who has it will invariably get you some candycoated bullshit. Or just playing dumb like Ziggily..

If they arent to be trusted clue us in and as to why they got it.

Theres a lot less drama, speculation and BULLSHIT when things are out in open.
