I FOUND A 1st EDITION CHarizard card!

Back in 1999-2000 i purchased a holographic 1st edition charizard card, and when i came across this article i nearly shit my pants.

It is slightly damaged from water from 15 years ago, how much do you think this card is worth.

Don't get your hopes up, I read that same article once along with a "card condition" guide.

The $2000 price would be for one that was taken out of the pack, resealed in a collectors pouch and verified as authentic, it doesn't matter how rare a card is, if it's not in mint condition it loses a significant amount of value.

The thing is, 1st edition charizard cards are not rare at all, however, ones in mint condition are very rare.

Keep in mind that mint condition means the same condition as it was in when it was packaged. Something as small as a hair pin "nik" on the card not even visibal without a magnifying glass can render a card worthless.

A damaged card like yours may hold small value to an armature collector, you'd be lucky to receive $10 - $15 for it.

 

as a hardcore collector, i can tell you that if the card is bellow 5 from 1-10, 10$ is already a good price :/

Nice find but as a water damaged card it's probably best kept for nostalgia than sold
