Cannabis - Good or bad thing?

Should be legalised world-wide. Having it as a legal-controlled substance is far better than as an illegal uncontrolled one. The taboo revolving around it needs to damn disappear already.

 

A good thing for me. Sure, there are some inherent health risks (as well as health benefits from CBD) but it has been something that's enjoyable for me with relatively low risk compared to other drugs. It helps with depression and sleep issues, and pretty much guarantees I'll have a good time.

It has never really made me apathetic, or caused me to eat unhealthily. It makes me feel good (kind of hard to stay sad) but it has never really made me lazy. I've been able to keep up with my workout diet just fine while smoking, even though its true that some strains can make you hungry.

Considering this is a forum of teenage guy gamers, you're likely to hear mostly positive responses.

Guys, there is a huge difference between encouraging it and locking you in a fucking rape cage for it. Cigarettes for the most part aren't encouraged, the health risks are made incredibly obvious (but they don't lock you away for it, because its your own body and the substance is relatively non harmful.

 

When it becomes legal, all the people who wouldn't normally have tried it because it was illegal, then try it out of curiosity. Ergo more people getting in to a habit of smoking which results in more drug taking of other sorts.


If you don't want to get locked up, don't smoke it, you can live without it and don't need it.

Alchohol is a drug, as is tobacco. The health risks pertaining to marijuana is far far less than the aforementioned. It's simply a taboo product. I'm quite sure in a decade or so, it will be legalised world-wide anyway.

Okay, but now give me the list of smart/meaningful and possibly fun things to do.

The reality is that we all end up in the dirt and most of us would rather die a bit earlier and enjoy what life has to offer instead of doing all the booring/safe stuff.

Not really. I don't see either as being pointless/dumb. Harmful, sure. However, everyone lives their life their own way. Calling it dumb and pointless is ignorant really.

This is coming from someone who only does all three socially when going out/party etc, and smoking up maybe a once or twice a year, if that (more than likely a lot less). Not from a constant user, or anything.

 

Cannabis is bad as it can lead into the drug user smoking worse stuff.

All I was trying to point out is that just because something is harmful doesn't mean it should be illegal.
People get high from inhaling gasoline fumes/glue/etc but you don't see the government making them illegal. There is so much shit in the world that you can get high from and most of them are more harmful than cannabis.

Getting high from cannabis isn't a problem, it's just a way to make living in this messed up world a bit more pleasant.

 

If you smoke responsibly, there is no problem.

 

It's probably a bad thing considering its illegal in the UK. Class B which means you can get arrested and go to court for possession

I am a partaker of marajuana but not necessarily a proponet. I do however feel it should be legalized as it is not going anywhere and could be taxed out the dick with great sucess. Its bringing millions of revenue to each state where its legalized, crime went down due to the dispensiaries running the pot dealers out of business. That and not wasting tax dollars jailing and feeding the buyers.

Weed isnt going anywhere, let the users use it and tax their (sadly my own) asses off.

 

Not necessarily, it isn't something that is hard to get. You can get it for $10 where I live. Just being in high school is enough to get your hands on it within a day. The risks of getting caught are relatively low, and getting caught just with possession isn't usually all that bad. Most of the time police will just make you throw it away.

I think pretty much everyone interested tries it. Anyway, even if a new person did try it, it isn't the end of the world.

Marijuana as a gateway drug is an incredibly weak argument, there isn't anything magic about marijuana that makes you want to try something else. Its the type of person that would smoke marijuana, that would be willing to try other drugs. If marijuana didn't exist they'd likely get into the harder stuff anyway. Taking pills for example, and progressing from there.
