Some kid ingame gave me free account

Yeah this kid pmed me and gave me his account for free. I might login and see if he has any items worthwhile. is this risky? is there a way for him to keylog or anything by doing this or should I be safe?

 

You'll be safe, he's probably trying to get you to put items on it and then recover it later so he can take whatever you put on there.

 

it's a pretty decent account. 99 str and such. He told me not to get defence up and that he'd be back in 3 months and if i train it well we can share it. but i'd prefer to play my own account. free cash is always nice lol

thanks, and yeah i might actually stake with it. 105 combat, 75 attack, 99 str, 70 def, 90 hp, 70 prayer, 76 range, 81 mage. can put like 1m on it to start, transfer my winnings off before i log.

 

Good idea, use it to your benefit.

As Duke said, don't leave anything on it. If you use it to stake, take everything off of it before you get off for the night.

 

I wouldn't train it any or put any money on it. It's 99% chance of it being recovered.

How is he going to contact you, did you exchange information?

 

nah we didn't exchange info, i'm sure he'd just come back and log in to it. I can't change the info anyway, I don't have access to the email, I'll just stake and transfer before I log.

 

His plan is for you to max it out, or do something good on it, then come back after vacation in hopes it has good ass stats, go ahead and bot on it and get it permed banned, he'll be so happy.

You'll be safe in regards to him infecting your computer. However he can easily recover the account with your items on it.
