Wrongly banned, what should i do?

Hey,

Last night i got been wrongly permanently banned for macroing major.

I have not botted since i recieved a temp ban in April.

Recently though, i've been getting hacked a lot, i've been hacked several times for a total of ~97M. The hacker also suicide botted once on my account, but i recovered it before action was taken. However it is unlikely that he had access to my account leading up to the ban, because i had formatted my computer for viruses and i was playing all day until i recieved the ban.

If it helps, my recent activities are:

Maging Blue Dragons

Fishing (fished about 5100 lobsters, semi afk)

Questing

Barb Assault

Seems pretty fucked that jagex's "bot detection" would pick up on a LEGIT PLAYER.

Anyway is there anything i can do here? or am i totally fucked, like many of the other people who have been wrongly banned. Should i appeal? Email?

You might have been nailed for the previous botting, or the previous botting that the hacker did. It really hurts your case if you previously botted on it before, because then Jagex won't believe any claim of you not having control of your account. Jagex has said in the past that it has banned people who have not botted for a set period of time, but bot activity was revealed in the past. I distinctly remember Jagex talking about people who would try to feign innocence because they were playing legit at the time of their ban but had botted before.

So honestly, you might be out of luck man. They probably flagged the hacker for suicide botting and just now got around to hammering you.

 

all botting that took place on my account happened before the temp, i know that much.

 

You could say you were hacked and request them to check the IP's

If you were indeed hacked, as Donald Duck mentioned, contact them and demand they compare the IP addresses. I doubt this will work though as a logical person would not believe someone stole your account to bot for you.

 

I don't believe your story which means Jagex definitely won't. Make a new account and start over, and learn to secure your computer/account properly. Botting your main account is a terrible idea anyway. With the rate they are catching bots, you should really only bot to goldfarm.

 

If you legit botted before then I don't think you'll be able to recover your account =/ sorry

 

my new f2p account was just perm banned for macroing. all stats were 100% done by hand.

 

I've never heard of anyone getting banned for botting without actually botting.

That's a bit fishy.

If your claim is truthful, you can contest the ban.

 

yeah right they wont even look at a ban anymore

 

i did contest it,however it wont sound any different to somebodys claim who did macro....

 

Simple just appeal it you will most likely be denied but its worth a try.
