Shooting incident

What do you guys think about it? I really hope the victims' families are okay. Violence is never acceptable ;/

 

It's sad. People with low self-esteem are dangerous and should be helped.

 

Wow, it really does sadden me the amount of shootings that happen in the states... kind'of glad I do not live there :\

He is one deranged mother fucker.

 

His view of the world was so absurd. Read a bit of his manifesto. This kid went on diatribes about the rich, yet he was pretty well off himself. He literally only saw having millions as a way of attaining "sex and love" and "gratification". This was one sick individual.

 

It's more than other developed countries, but the difference is that it is far, far, more publicized since it is has political implications.

 

Well Its sad but What can we do. We have to prepare ourselves and need treatment for people like these. Events and Problems lead to things like these

 

Was it just me or did it feel like he was trying too hard..?

 

I know this comes up a lot whenever there is a highly publicized shooting, but I'll repeat it. The attention that these shooters get across the nation is probably a factor in triggering other shootings. These people are obviously not stable, and seeing them immortalized (albeit infamously) on national media could likely give other unstable people delusions of grandeur.

 

I couldn't agree with this any more. Why strive to become famous in this world, when it's so easy to become infamous? These people are immortalized through their coldness and callous acts. The victims are often second to the perpetrator, who is tirelessly analyzed and put under a microscope for the whole world to see. The media incessantly sensationalizes them, and they often garner a cult like following, ironically enough there being types of women that adore these "bad boys". IE: James Holmes, Eric Harris, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

 

Reminded me of one of the Dexter seasons tbh. Remember the season about the doomsday or w/e?

 

people like that should be tortured in prison for 40 years...

 

Most of them kill themselves to avoid that.

If they're going to do it, and the police aren't lucky/fortunate enough to stop them, better that they kill themselves than have us waste taxpayer money on trying them in the court of law, wasting resources to prosecute a clearly guilty person.

 

Honestly shootings are kind of becoming the norm as said as it is to say that. People have no regard for other human life.

 

'Merica need to change their gun laws. Another example right here.

If people didn't know, he was the son of assistant-director of the Hunger games franchise.

He released other videos on youtube a week or two prior to the shooting, which when seen, his parents/family were alerted, which then lead to his family contacting police to check in on him as they were worried due to the odd nature of the videos. The police interviewed him, and I quote, said, 'he was a lovely, polite, young gentlemen', and hence let him go and assumed it was simply a phase or something.

Really tragic what happened. The video of him in his BMW a few hours prior to the shooting is what really showed how psychologically unstable he was.

 

Even without guns though, he stabbed his three roommates to death, as well as using his vehicle as a weapon. If he didn't have guns it would have just been something else. I don't disagree the laws need altering, but it's not just guns. Seemed that it being a knife versus a gun unfortunately didn't help any of his roommates survive.
