Are you quitting the game for good ??

I used to play in 1999 but not sure if the game is my style anymore. In any case I'll think it over and maybe make an offer soon.

 

I wish I could quit for good! xD
I'm going to poke around a bit and see if the new ownership under JumpStart changes anything.

Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions about what it's like nowadays - obviously lots has changed since then, hahaha, but (in my opinion) it's still addicting!

I just don't feel like starting over, since I recall it took a good 4-5 years to build my account up. Games from that era were really solid. And players could feel the effects of dedicating years to a single game.

Sadly in 2002 after graduating from 6th grade I signed in to Neopets at a friend's house during our graduation party and someone went on when I wasn't looking and donated all my belongings to the Money Tree.

After that I quit for good.

I'm definitely considering it though. Yeah I would be delighted to hear of what players are currently doing with their time. Back in the day the Guilds were really popular. Especially the Harry Potter Guilds.

I had a shop, dabbled in the stock market and played Pterattack and Extreme Herder daily! :love: What a great time I had.

Luckily, it seems like TNT has taken security a lot more seriously in the recent years, and as long as you stay on top of changing your info frequently (every couple months), accounts are usually quite safe.

But yes, I totally know what you mean!!
It can take what feels like forever to really build up a solid account.
I've had to start over a couple times through the many years I've played after getting frozen for silly reasons, and it's not usually a fun project. xD

Guilds on Neopets have slowed down quite a bit. I remember when they were RAAAAAAAGING all the time, hahaha, especially those Harry Potter guilds! But these days, it seems like more people just find their community on the Neoboards, although there *are* still some really solid guilds out there.

There are still a lot of people who play games regularly, as well as those who battle, work on account improvement (collecting avatars, stamps, etc.), and those who buy lots of Neocash (which you buy with real money and get to buy cute little clothes and items for your pets... I'm one of those people, sadly... LOL). It really just depends on what your interests are!

TNT has set up a lot of different events throughout the course of the year to keep players busy - I don't know if you were ever around for an Altador Cup?? But it's basically like, all the different lands have their AC teams, and you can choose which team you want to support. Then, it's pretty much a bracket style tournament between teams up to the top. Neopets is gearing up for that right now! c:

There's quite a bit to do, and quite a bit of expansion has happened over the past many years (although it's slowed in recent years) - more pets, more pet colours, more lands, more games, more site events, etc. It really just depends on each individual player's preferences!
