It obviously isn't great... or good, at all... but I thought I would give it a shot cos eh, bit of practise and they may turn good. I used a tutorial just to show me how to do the pictures in the letters. The rest is work of my own. Sadly enough - this took me over 30 minutes; yes, a long time for a piece not that great - but I am proud to say it is my first ever.

Obviously there are things that would make it look better. Straightening the lines being one that catches my eyes. I need to learn to do this - I attempted it with the blur tool and it didn't work very well. The quality of the images could also be sharpened up but I wasn't too fussed as it was my first. Thoughts?

    Im assuming your using photoshop.

An easy way to apply one or more layers to another is by using clipping masks.

Make a text layer with "AZAROLE" in a thick sans serif font, Create a new layer above it - right click on the layer and click "create clipping mask". Now anything you draw or put on that layer will only be applied to the text.

If you wanted to move the A and E you could make them on separate layers, position them, then rasterize the text and merging the layers.

And if you want to make the edges less pixelated try changing the style of the text (not the font)[while using text tool] its to the right of the size display at the top.

    Edit:

also, when you go to save, you can save it without a background since its a still image, making it useable on other sites. When you want to save use "save for web" then choose .png.

Hope this helps! Keep it up :)

Fix the positioning of the text. It looks like two separate words.

Thank you for all the helpful tips! I need to learn some more techniques. This was the first one I tried because I liked the look of it. I do not think it came out too bad - but not too good either. Currently I am using Gimp whilst I sort my self out with Photoshop. Installing etc.

It was the only way it would work otherwise the letters would be too narrow to show the pictures properly. Trust me, if Sythe had an extra 20 PX in width allowed; it would have been dead straight.

Well I plan to work on this for the coming months as a hobby. Next on the agenda is to make my first ever thread layout. I am pretty good with video editing, so now I want to make my own graphics before starting to upload game content to YouTube and streaming so that I can use decent graphics with-in and do not need to rely on a partner to do so.
