ikov is back

Welcome back.

I have some very fortunate news for you all. As you may know our old website; Ikov.org was seized by Jagex LTD for copyright infringement. I have managed to gather all of the appropriate materials to be able to start this up again, Lets get back to where we was! It will NOT ever be shutdown again.

Character Files

You may feel discouraged to play again because you think you have lost your progress. This is NOT the case, when we launch our gameservers again you will be able to play EXACTLY where you left off on Ikov.org, this means you have the same stats and the same items etc.


Is this the real Ikov Source, not some crappy stuff we've seen on other places.

Why isn't it online yet?

It isn't online yet because we are updating the source for the new launch. We've got huge updates planned for you guys and would therefore like to prepare appropriately for this. We will open the gameservers the 25th of may.

Will the server crash like Ikov.org did at last and where I could not play for hours?

Fortunately we have found the issue which caused this to happen and have applied fixes for it. Ikov will from now on have a 24-7 solid uptime.

I just checked myself on the highscores on the main website but couldn't find myself?

You may be thinking you were reset, this is not the case. We've wiped the highscore and have applied a timestamping mechanism in it which means people are now able to keep their ranks when they first hit 200m EXP. If you already have 200m exp in a certain skill you should make sure you log in RIGHT away when we launch the gameservers because the first ones to get in will get the #1 ranks. The next time you sign in and out you will be added into the highscores.

I donated to Ikov.org, do I still have my credits?

Like we said, you will be able to play EXACTLY where you left off on Ikov.org, this also includes your credits.
If you go to www.ikovps.com and sign in with your game information you will see the amount of credits you had during your last time on Ikov.org

The economy was getting bad on Ikov.org, how will it be on here?

After our shutdown we found a dupe in the game, this caused billions of GP to be entered into the economy each and every day. We have patched this and did changes all over the place to enhance the economy. When you sign in the state of the economy will be the same as it was on Ikov.org but over time it'll obviously get better due to these changes with some money sinks. I'd give it 2 weeks to balance out, of course the people who abused this have had their accounts reset but obviously some gold would have been leaked (y)

What happened to the forums?

We weren't able to get a recent backup of the forums, the one we imported now was from March 1 2014. This means they were kind of outdated so we decided to simply delete all the posts. Also the members who joined the forums in between March 1 and April 11 have lost their forum accounts. We understand this is unfortunate however you can simply create a new one here: http://forum.ikovps....l§ion=register

How can I help you guys?

Link everyone you know to this thread, share it on facebook, put it in your skype status, message your people on Skype. Tell your friends on whatsapp, post it on Twitter, get the word out!
Will I get my donator back?

Yes, your game status will be the same as before however on the forums you may have lost it. SImply post in the appropiate thread and you will get it back.

We do need it to recreate the account, aswell as that we do realize the econemy is being abused by gold sellers and we do handle that aswell, you might aswell stop spamming for the post count.

this guy wants to steal your account, go to ikovps.com and you will see that you are able to log normally, none of that recreate bullshit. all of your character information is saved and doesn't need recreation, do not fall for this.
