Transfering Names by J-Mods

Hi, I wanted to ask you guys what are the chances that P-Mods will transfer a "cool" name to another account without banning or removing the name?

 

You would have to be the original owner of both accounts as far as I know.

 

Unless you're a PMOD your chances are incredibly low just by asking. Even then your chances are sort of slim.

However, on a side note, I emailed them regarding an inactive name I'd like to acquire and they told me that they were "reviewing the display name process and therefore couldn't fulfil my request." Hopefully this is good news to come.

If a pmod has the name "cool" and if he/she tries to transfer it the name "cool" will get banned.

 

Weren't they giving Runefest people rare names that were inactive or banned? Or was that a myth.. I knew that drew a lot of ire from people. I too have wondered if I can swap names of accounts I own, let me know how that turns out.

Yes that's true, although paying £100 for a RuneScape convention you'd expect some sort of hax

 

I guess if they're ballsy enough to wear RS "items" in real life they deserve something.

 

Im assuming this is involving an account youve bought. I have tried this before with accounts i didnt originally own and the IPs where checked and the accs locked, also recieved a reply about not condoning acc trading. Jmods/brown nosers do visit sythe and posting this thread will probably raise some red flags.
I have however successfully done this with accounts that i ORIGINALLY created.
Also they dont really move names they can however switch them.

 

You can't get Jagex to transfer names, but you can do it yourself quite easily.

 

Your title says Jmod but your post says Pmod, so you are kind of getting mixed responses.

Pmods have no power concerning name transfer. Jmods *might* help you with it if you are very familiar with them.

 

Like others have said, if you own both accounts they don't seem to have a problem with it. I had a name swapped to my main from a f2p account by sending an e-mail, and a new name set on my f2p account to reflect that change on my main account by sending another e-mail

I don't know, I own both accounts, the other one has a rare name and this one (tomii16) has no display name because it was inactive since 2008.

 

it will only work if you're the ORIGINAL CREATOR of BOTH accounts and can provide all information, set a name on the tomii16 acc aswell as they switch names usually not just move them.
