Dedicated Server

Thinking about investing in a dedicated server to sell on tribot what you guys think about the current sales of Dedicated Servers think a business would last if I sold them for about 9-10$?

 

I don't think people would need a server from another user, if you're not going to do anything extra for the clients, like install tribot and java on the server for them.

 

We of course I will install the tribot client and java on there im asking would it be profitable looking to pay like 129$ per month for the Dedicated server trying to figure out a steady price to sell for.

 

You should try to gather some clients that would be interested. You would have to maintain a steady monthly subscription to profit. It's hard.

 

Probably not worth the hassle. When people get banned for botting they will come whining to you about the server being flagged by jagex.

 

What KMJT said, as well as there being already well established dedi server providers out there. Unless you have something to offer that no one else does, or you can invest a decent amount into advertising and or if you have an already confirmed client base, I wouldn't venture into starting up such a business.

 

There's no such thing as a 10$ dedicated server. VPS's yes, but not dedicated servers.

Not the server thats how much I was going to single. The server is 129$ per month.

 

So, you're going to sell a server that you rent for 129$/mo for 10/mo?

How do you expect to see a profit if you're selling it for a tenth of the original price?

 

Well depending on the sales id adjust my price once I just really want to see where to start and a steady selling price I dont mind losing some profit first month of service.

So you're renting a server for 129$ and then selling "vps's" for 10$ month, if that's your plan you would need at least 12+ customers to pay the server itself, from there all the clients will be a profit.

 

If this is the case, 12 VPS's dedicated to running RS bots or something of that sort will not be a good idea. You won't have the performance for 12 people to run bots off one server. Unless the server has 8gb+ of ram and at least 8 cores (which own't be 129$).

 

I buy the server and rent out VPS. Makes perfect sense.

Yes I have 16GB with 500 GB HD right now I can easily upgrade to 32GB me and a friend of mines started a business with it, its looking promising
