I want my life to be more interesting..

So, didn't really see this as personal support etiquette, so I posted here.

Pretty much, I want my life to be more interesting. I'm 17, in school. I live in Alaska, and there's close to nothing to do. I've tried plenty of things, but nothing really makes me happy anymore. Any advice from you guys?

Your life seems personal to me. This thread is along the guidelines of personal support.

First things first, finish school, then leave Alaska to go to a college. There is nothing interesting about the state at all. I can see why there isn't much to do.

 

I plan to as soon as I'm out, but I'm a junior. Still another year to go through.

 

Kind of unrelated, but out of curiosity, how is school in Alaska? Do you have a lot of students/rival schools, etc?

I hope you don't mind me asking, I've just always wondered how things kind of worked in a state nobody really lives in

 

Step 1) Leave alaska. If you're not happy with a quiet life in a secluded region whose only entertainment is fishing and the pursuit of staying warm, then as you are probably aware Alaska is the wrong place to be.

The easiest way out is to get into college as mentioned by whoever above me. You've got another year to go, just know that a year is a relatively short amount of time. Sit tight and plan ahead. That's the best way to end up where you want to be: planning.

 

Things tend to get more fun when you leave for college. I was in the same situation as you, really. Grew up in a boring place, then once I graduated, I went away for school and ended up having a blast (still am.)

Hang in there for that last year and do well. It pays off.

 

Rival schools? Not really. I guess it's just normal public schools, with a bunch of druggies and ignorant kids.

I guess I'll stick out this last year and get a job for now..

 

Rival schools as in other large schools in your area that you compete against in sports. Does your school have a football team? Do you play sports? Do you watch sports? How many kids go to your school? Girlfriend? Hookah? Weed?

 

There are other "large" schools in my area that the teams compete against, I still don't see it as any rivalry. Yes. No (Not officially). Hell no. 1300~. Not anymore. Sometimes - mainly just tobacco. Sometimes.

 

That sucks you have to deal with that. :X Additional to the job thing you could develop some more hobbies!

 

Hobbies like? I don't have any as is..

 

What interests you that you're able to do?

 

Save some money, take a vacation. It will take loads off your stress.

 

Find friends be social and do what you'r best at

 

Take the gym to hit the gym, get buff and then move to a college

 

There isn't much. Actually, nothing really interests me aside from learning things. After awhile, that's just a nuisance.

I've never been outside of Alaska aside from sports. I wouldn't know where to go and when.

I have my own small group of friends, otherwise I really can't stand people.

I'm in shape, have no reason to "hit the gym". Working out isn't an "ecstasy" for me.

 

I would join the military. Nothing more interesting/ life changing experience than that.

 

Smoke a lot of pot, It'll give you things to do and time to kill thats how I made it through senior year.

 

Guess there's a reason for the druggies count lol. So if drugs isn't an option for you (i'm not saying be an addicted cunt 420 smoker 840 injector).
Try working out if you don't already?
Try get a girlfriend if that's an option (as in maybe ur in an all boys school, hardly any parties etc.)
Build something? Sounds stupid but can be really fun, draw it up. Plan it well. Build something awesome.
Try and be active really.
