jw all my bots got hit with a major and I have never been banned using my current botting method

 

Well there is a first time for everything. Did you bot all your accounts on the same ip?

 

nah multiple, I was just asking to see if they actually are keen to my method or just a jmod happened to find me or something.

 

They could check for IP or they could even store local files and load and compare them on launch to check if you are using the same machine. Some people think random.dat is used for this. What I can tell you is that random.dat contains an ID of 24 bytes length. And the full 24 bytes get sent to the login server upon login in the oldschool client.

 

They probably just caught ya man. Sometimes stuff works sometimes it doesn't. I recommend using proxies if you already don't.

It's about time they start giving out permanent bans. (Sorry, but I care about the economy of oldschool.)

 

That tweet is just an attempt to try and persuade people to stop botting.

 

Banning all bots will ruin the economy even more, and they are well aware of that.

I'm interested in how you came to that conclusion.

Would you rather have an economy that has an over abundance of supplies, or one that has a reasonable amount that would stabilize the economy?

If you have too much supplies and not enough demand, then you have to undercut and these botters/goldfarmers do not care about doing that. This ruins the economy for those who actually play the game.

So by removing bots, you also remove the supplies which eliminates items having less demand than they should. Skilling would bring in a decent amount of money again. I can see why you're in favor of bots, with you owning a bot site and all, so you're bias, but be reasonable about this.

As you are partially right GHAST. BUT most people have lives to live and not spend hours and hours fapping and skilling for money. Some of us have a wife, demanding job hours, and real crap to deal with throughout the day. Then after coming home after busting your ass all day you don't want to waste your time sitting hoping some kid was wasting his time skilling mass amounts of items you need. As this is not directed towards you in anyway its a fact. Say you wanna max a mage pure 10 hp, there's no fucking way I will sit there for hundreds of hours Rune crafting then months clicking... fuckkkk that. When I can log onto sythe buy from a gold vender, or other site doesn't matter TBH, then buy the thousands of nats to alch with. Log in with a bad ass bot such as "Top bot" and alch the shit out of them natures.

 

without bots bringing in items lobbies would cost 500-1k ea so not many ppl would pk or at least not pk and risk and pretty much all skills would cost 10x the price they do now to lvl.
