    Build Help - $1,500 Budget

So basically i'm going to have $1,500 to build a pc.

What i'm looking to have the computer do is to run multiple processes at a normal speed (Really pushing to own my own business, and run it from my computer and just do a lot of things on my computer at once)

I also need the computer to be able to handle games like CS:GO or Titanfall possibly.

Other than that i'm not sure what information would help for my build.

    Any help is appreciated!

TLDR; I need a computer that works like a business computer, but also works for a gaming computer.

This is the build I have lined up right now, tell me what you think:

    Build budget is now 1,700.00

    It's 1370$

If you want more of some things never change the case or double the ram.

Other than that it won't get much better with the main hardware.

With the money you save on this build, I'd suggest adding a SSD drive to go with it.
Wayyy faster boot times, and overall better performance.

Hope you don't mind Xolr, but I am going to rip this to shreds.

    1. Split the ram up to 4x4GB, up it to DDR3-2400. (It will turn out ~same price). Not to mention the next time you will need to upgrade, DDR3 will be obsolete.

    2. Replace the HDD he suggested - the reason I say this is that it's a 5400RPM HDD, you will literally sit and wait a good 6-7 minutes before anything loads.

    3. If you're running an SLI like that you SHOULD up the PSU (the MINIMUM PSU is a 750W, if the PSU undercuts it doesn't perform)

    4. Case looks fine, but will be a pain in the ass to cable-manage in.

    5. Get an aftermarket cooler for that CPU.

    6. Get an SSD (they're significantly down in price, ~0.5/GB) and they boost performance exponentially (as CAS_M) stated.

And this is just a personal opinion, which is extremely biased - I will NEVER EVER EVVVVEERR run SLI again. I encountered WAY too many problems with it (not just heat). I would prefer to run a single GPU all day long, regardless if it under-performs the SLI by a tiny bit.

    1. Sure. I forgot that when you upgrade a PC, the only thing that becomes obsolete is the RAM.

    2. Yeah, most laptops take 5-7 minutes to load, even the calculator.

    3. PSU could be bumped up, but it's still in spec.

    4. Only alienware cares about cable management. :D

    5. Meh, to each their own.

    6. See 5.

Updated OP with my current build plan.

Let me know what you think of it and what I should change.

(NOTE: Any changes should either keep the same price or lower it, but keep the build just as good, as i'm almost 200.00 over budget)

No reason to go with that
processor unless you're looking to do - serious - rendering or video editing... Serious as in if you're on a 90k+ a year salary.

Go with the 4770k and upgrade the 770 to a 780ti, or sli the 770 with the money saved.

Motherboard is way overkill for a single 770. Seriously you have 1 hd an 1 ssd but it has 10x says controllers and 3x(x2) pcie slots...

The mobo you picked is LGA 1150. The i7-4930K is LGA 2011. They're not compatible. Also, LGA 2011-3 is going to come out soon. Depending if you want the more pci-e lanes, sata 3 ports, and DDR4 it might be a good idea to wait. It should come out sometime this summer.

Anywho, you have two options. If you want LGA 2011 and the hexacore (No idea what you need that for. What are you planning on running?) you'll need to go a bit over budget to get to a good build or you can go the LGA 1150 route and stay on budget.

    LGA 2011: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3xtpn
    LGA 1150: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3xtKa

LGA 2011 has more CPU horsepower, the LGA 1150 build has more GPU horsepower.

I'd up the SSD size to 256GB. 120GB will just be annoying to manage.

    http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3xFuV

That fits pretty much everything you want. I suggest you use PCPartPicker, it searches multiple sites for the lowest prices. It also makes sharing builds easy.

I'm going to use it as a workstation to run some kind of company from (long goal) and gaming with such a budget i'm not going to be playing anything super crazy on graphics but it doesn't hurt.

Trippin, is the pcpartpicker list you sent me everything I need excluding windows 7?

Yes, that's a complete build. You might want to move down to a GTX 770 and save yourself some money though. A GTX 780 will be overkill at 1080p.

Agreed, if you're wanting a multi monitor work station and you're going to be doing some eyefinity (surround) then you might go with the 780.

Yeah I will be using multiple monitors. So the build that he posted above you would say is good to go as well?

Only if you plan on doing some nvidia surround gaming
    [IMG]

The 770 is a very strong card. I'd just stick with the 770, save yourself some cash.

    I don't think you'll build a good setup with 3 1080p monitors for 1500$.
