That is a fantastic laptop and it handles games very very well. Be aware that the most current model comes with 755m SLI. I played with one of my buddies and was impressed for the price. Sound quality is good, build quality is great, performance is fantastic. Good keyboard and screen tops it all off, tjho I wasn't a fan of the all red backlighting myself.

Yeah, I just can't justify paying almost 400$ more for it though...

Gaming on the stressful end. I won't be doing any video editing or hardcore rendering.

CSGO is really my worry. I watched several videos on that specs with CSGO and it seemed to run fine at 150-200 frames (which is actually quite good).

I may end up going with this one though:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834313741 It's new and comes with a nice laptop backpack. And it has the sli 755 instead of the 750.

Is that a laptop or a group? I don't think a group will give me good results as to what I'm needing.

1500$, but I'm looking for bang for buck. So If there's a 1500$ laptop with a single 870m and a a 1100$ laptop with dual 755m then I'll go with the 1100$ one.

    @DSRX - Outside my range.

Your purchase will be obsolete within 6 months or so and you'll only be able to sell it for about half of what you bought it for.. PLUS, you can't really upgrade them much since it's a laptop. Eventually, it won't handle the games you want to play and you'll regret your purchase. Most likely.

Unless a new versions not of counterstrike comes out I won't be doing any intense gaming on it. It will be mainly for csgo. I understand the obseoletion of hardware, but that's the same thing for desktops also. Unless you drop over 2 grand into high end hardware, everything will be obsolete in 6 months to a year....

Looking to buy a new laptop

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lenovo-Idea...11698902?pt=Laptops_Nov05&hash=item3a8f43f5d6

Same laptop as the newegg link, just manuf. refurbished with a 1 year warranty from lenovo for like 80$ cheaper.

I still need help guys. I want to know if this is the best bang for the buck... I'm seeing loads of better laptops that cost a bit more. But for example, this laptop has the 4700qm which is the typical mobile i7 these days, but the graphics cards are like single 760's or 860's. I've done the research and dual 755m's are much faster than single 860's or 760s. I think, actually, the dual 755m's are the same speed of a single 660TI (desktop), or 10% less speed than a 870m, which is phenomenal for mobile graphics. This one costs about a grand, while the other asus and MSI laptops with single 760's are about 1300+... I hear this one has heat issues, so I plan on taking out the sli card when mobile and having it on a good laptop cooler when plugged in, so that's not an issue. (Note: This particular lenovo has the SLI card through an ultrabay where the optical drive is. You can literately take the card out like taking a CD out of a laptop.)

    More suggestions guys!

While you are correct in the fact that dual 755's may be as fast as a GTX 660Ti, you must keep in mind the key factor for a laptop - HEAT. You put two graphics cards, a CPU, a battery, RAM, and a HDD in the same small (almost closed) area, and you're going to be asking for trouble.

Make sure to do research on the laptop that is running those and make sure people aren't frying out the laptop and that the laptop isn't obnoxiously noisy.

Looking to buy a new laptop

I have done a lot of research, and as I said before if it's not plugged in I'll have the SLI ultrabay out of the machine. But when it's plugged in, I'll have it on a decent laptop cooler. Agreed though...

@Nick_91, 1500$ laptops usually have the same specs as this 1000$ laptop but typically with like a 770, or a 680m gpu. And as I stated before, the SLI 755's are faster than that for 1000$.

that Lenovo would be one of the top contenders for choices in a gaming laptop within your budget. The only problem is that it can be a bit limited by the BIOS, so there's only so much of a shelf life that you'll have. While the slave GPU is changeable, you cant actually upgrade it because it wont match your onboard master GPU. Since the master cant be upgraded due to being soldered onboard, it will become obsolete as others said, and the only option will be to replace it. Granted, this thing is a beast and will last you a long, long time. The downside is that if a game is not optimized for SLI, or poorly optimized even(youd be surprised how many games this entails) then your performance in-game will rely on the capabilities of the master gt755M, which is somewhat poor by itself.

Your other option would be something along the lines of the MSI gt60 dominator, with the upgraded I7-4800MQ(a fair bit faster) and the 6GB GTX 870m. While the performance of this laptop will be marginally higher than the Lenovo, you get a ton of sick ass features. The multi-zone customizable backlit keyboard with full color backlighting is sick, the speakers on that thing are unbelievable(constantly rated as the best laptop speakers ever installed, and ill vouch for that). KILLER networking is great for gaming with lower ping online aswell as with extended range. Internal hardware benefits allow up to 32GB of RAM(don't know what youd need it for, but you can), 3 MSATA SSD slots AND 3 2.5" SATA3 drive slots for up to 6 drives, and you can also upgrade the GPU later with the MXM 3 slot, if it becomes obsolete in a few years.

I think that for 400 bucks more, it's completely worth it.

That is actually a really good deal for the single GPU 870m and the 4800qm i7... You may have me sold, but I'm going to look into some resources on that PC. Thanks for the recomendation, I greatly appreciate it.

I noticed the g70 MSI Dominator on newegg for the same price as the g60, are there any issues with doing the g70 instead? The only difference is the screen size, one is 17 inches and the other is 15.
