XBox 360 or PS3

I'm buying one of them and I know it's a bit old but please don't tell me to get next-gen instead as I am definitely going to get next-gen sooner so which would you guys suggest me to get?

 

That depends, xbox typically is more geared toward people who are going to be playing the big first person shooters, and getting competitive, and PS3 is more laid back, story games, whatever.
Obviously you can still play COD on ps3, but like i said, its less competitive.
If you don't have many friends that play on console that you're going to be in a party with talking to all the time, and just plan on not really talking at all, or to just the people you play with, get a ps3. Sony's single player exclusives are also pretty good.

 

Yeah and I think Xbox 360's community is better but ps3 has better games..

 

The whole better game argument is stupid.

I personally ran an Xbox 360 and now have an Xbox one, because I PREFER the games & Community. If you want to play Halo, Gears & Forza, get an Xbox. If you want to play The Last of us, Infamous & Uncharted, get a Playstation.

It's all down to preference, at the end of the day.

In regards to talking - It makes gaming much more fun. I'd suggest an Xbox if you're going to party up and what not, but if all you want to do is casual gaming and chat to random's I'd suggest a Playstaion - there is no party chat on that, so people jump into game chat.
